Itt: we make a better story mode than World of Light

Other thread died with only a few replies so I’m doing it again
You get the same amount of time to develop a story for Ultimate that it took to develop The Subspace Emmisary, which is 6 years, and whatever budget was used for that. How would the story go, how would Subspace Emmisary fit into the story, and how would you introduce all of the characters into the story (excluding DLC characters)

take the same premise as world of light, except actually make a short story about it.
starts the same with kirby, you rescue mario and then stumble upon the city.
most fighters have already broken free from galeem's control and have been living for hundreds of years in the world of light.
each of the fighters you can find in the light dinension has a different circumstances, for example link is completelt broken and hopeless after failing to find zelda for hundreds of years, the few FE characters are looking for clues about the disappeared members of their group, a "missing" board containing all the dark dimension characters is posted somewhere but everyone lost hope ro get reunited to them.
from here on it plays a lot like WoL excepr less filler and more cutscenes.

subspace but actually good like smash run

Maybe a ton of weird mashup sections. Like bokoblins take over a race track in the F-Zero universe and link has to race Epona on a super fucked up race track while falcon fucks up the booth they're all at. Or whatever. Idk but if you don't focus of mashing up franchises you're lost

Very good ideas

Okay so you take all the beloved characters with unique series enemies and locations, and you throw most of that away
We'll keep Mario stuff like Goombas and Koopa Troopas, but everything else will be original stuff
Locations? Make them generic, that way everyone can fit in. Generic sky, generic desert, generic jungle, generic ruins. They can just put a specific track for each one so the player can go "Ahhhh, this stage is really a [game] reference".
As for cutscenes, make about 90% of them just be characters looking at each other before an awkward cut to a character select. Then throw in a couple of fanservicey cool ones that people will remember most.
Maybe for the final area, have the players revisit every single location again. It will be like a really bizarre, neat nostalgic rush, you know?

Make subspace bigger with more enemeis from each franchises. Example:

Is my budget adjusted for inflation and relative size compared to the rest of the game, or am I working on SSE's budget while the rest of Ultimate has like fucktuple that?
