Most games don't use them specifically and it costs more to make

does dualsense have these

The same reason the vast majority of console games don't have gyro aiming. Laziness

Where is the hole for the penis

that's right think of poor shekelstein who has to pay another $1 for controllers that will probably cost $60-70

because they're overcomplicating controllers

if you need that many buttons, play with a mouse and keyboard

Games like DMC would highly benefit from this. FPS and racing games also.

You ignore the significant upfront cost to mass produce those new pieces. There's a reason why Battle beaver's PS4 controller with mechanical d-pad and buttons costs 7 figures

Didn't Sony make like 50 of those and now they are super expensive to buy

Why do you need so many damned buttons?

just like PC gamers, we are held back back because juan in chile can't run the game on his computer from 2005

Between your legs.

Most games don't use them because they're not standard.

Alright...Retard here.
Wtf do these even do? I see these at the store but what does it do other than give more buttons to keep track of? What games actually utilize these properly? Do the games just detect the extra buttons and configure them or something?

I'd rather have analog triggers and pressure sensitive buttons comes back

How is that fucking related to anything?

They keep your thumbs on the analog sticks without you having to do claw to use the face buttons.

Majority of games feel better and are preferred on controller unless you have autism. Only games that are objectively better on KB+M are shooters, mmos, and rts

it's not how many buttons there are, it's that five buttons + one stick are controlled by a single thumb, and offloading that work to the grip buttons gives you better APM/movement without resorting to claw grip

Sony's laziness is why PS5 controllers won't have rear buttons. Developer's laziness is why PS5 games won't use the Gyro in ways that make games better

So you don't have to claw to hit buttons while also aiming/moving.

I don't see the point of having them in the first place

because they're for autistic console fps retards and not anybody else

i cant imagine any use for them in the type of games i play

gyro aiming is dog shit

If you're a crusty brain boomer that can't learn anything new, then yeah, trying something new would be dog shit.

On the switch, I used those pro A controllers to map the middle analog stick buttons because I had pushing them in to sprint in games.

They're custom mappable buttons. So you can bind Jump, Reload, Crouch, etc to them and never sacrifice mobility or Accuracy* in your game
>*Accuracy on analog sticks are a meme, and gyro control for gamepads is significantly better

You just gave the perfect reason for a console developer to not slap a random expensive touchpad on the front of their controller, yet here we fuckin' are. I have a feeling that paddles are significantly cheaper than touch pads that take up precious real estate on the front of a controller.

Stop talking like a faggot worm brained child.

Objectively false. By it's nature it's far less limited than tiny analog sticks

>Mad about wojaks while posting a wojak
??????????????

>Most games don't use them specifically
all current paddles are simple remaps, so this is a non issue.
The only reason they aren't standard is because they can sell them to you.

huh, so this isn't necessarily for most people because most kinda adapted towards claw handling right? this might be for a GF or a super normie that refers to everything as "the gamebox"? or is it just a preference thing again?
huh. guess thats a thing too, haven't tried it myself then. don't really custom alot of keybinds/settings in games, i usually just try to adapt.

The sad part is the only PS4 game that I have seen actually use the touchpad well is Ghost of Tsushima.

how fucking deformed are your guys hands if you have to claw a modern controller?

Back paddles ruined every other controller for me.

Think of it as a tool that raises the skill ceiling in a console shooter

>this might be for a GF or a super normie that refers to everything as "the gamebox"?
No. Once you use them and set them up the way you like you will literally never go back to using face buttons. They're a straight upgrade.

The idea is to have access to as many buttons as possible without ever having to move your thumbs off the sticks

Most people aren't so terrible at video games (or gay) that they need a modded controller to help them.

They wouldn't cost more to make if they removed the regular face buttons

your a fucking retarded fag

I almost exclusively use the D-Pad with my right thumb. Gotta stay moving.

maybe lack of interest from players in general

Take into account the retooling and molding that would have to be done at factories

It's only useful really for FPS games. So the tryhards normally just pay more for them.

I see... Thanks Anons. might not get it this current gen but if there some on the next, i'll definitely consider it

Attached: ea3.gif (409x234, 933.52K)

3rd worlder reporting in, literally never seen one of these in rl. only used gyro aiming at a friends house once. Just thought I should let you all know. 3rd worlder out

>Take into account the retooling and molding that would have to be done at factories
Nibba they are 70 dollar controllers and they sell millions of them cry me a fucking river

and retooling entire factories costs upwards of 9 figures

It's so frustrating. I want back buttons to be standard because then you could have extra modifier keys to equip far more skills in the next xenoverse.

So

its like the two major console manufactures don't do hardware revisions ever couple of years or something.
Hell sony just completely redesigned their controller.

I currently use an adapter to use my Switch Pro Controller on Playstation. Is there a way for me to use an Elite 2 controller like that?

I'm mostly concerned the interface for setting up bindings is on the Xbox itself and I won't be able to properly set it up if I try playing it on a PS3/PS4.

So?
This is something they are going to sell about 200 million of.
I bet you defend Nintendo not redesigning the joycons as well.

z trigger best button fight me

You can make more money selling them separately.
