Take a guess.
It is a competently made game that plays well, but its pretty forgettable.
If youre into Star Shit probably play it, otherwise just buy a FROM game.
Its okay for 30$, I just don’t like how disney it is with the violence.
It's solid. Not spectacular like Jedi Outcast and Academy, but not mediocre like The Force Unleashed games. It's definitely worth $30. It's baby's first Sekiro, but that makes it better than most action adventure games these days.
Okay is the perfect word to describe it
I feel like I already know the answer, but just to double check, controller or keyboard?
SHIT GAME
It's Star Wars Sekiro but on the much easier side unless you're some sort of masochist going for JGM 3 star runs because good luck with that. I paid $40 and don't regret it at all but it's on the short side and it's "Good and satisfying but I wish there was more".
Exploration feels a LOT like Metroid Prime in terms of how you can unlock new areas, upgrades, ponchos, BD-1 skins, and Mantis skins. It just constantly feels like there's new stuff to find in each map every time you get an upgrade and it felt great, the aliens helped to add to that.
Dathomir felt like it took way too long to get to fully.
The Jedi Executioner enemies were the most fun thing to fight and parrying felt great.
Darth Maul mode is borderline useless until you get the 2kat mode and then it's only useful for that, it always felt like a downgrade.
Force moves feel great to weave into combat and see what happens when you use the moves against stuff that resist them/
The final sequence of the game also felt great with how it was executed outside of the "It's Darth Vader. I know Star Wars. I clapped."

Controller, don't go insane.
I played it with keyboard and it was fine
>It's a prequel so you already know how the story will inevitably end
>It's a game with really janky ass combat animations based around a very stiff movement system that lifts from a horrific mix of the Tomb Raider reboots and Dark Souls
>And it's a fucking Star Wars game where the lightsabers are basically bats that cut nothing and you play as a underpowered nobody Jedi even by Star Wars standards making the combat really unfun
Yeah give it a try. The bit before the ending was nice. not the actual ending though, like I said, it's a prequel. Every story beat and question asked is already answered because of that. It's a big step down though.
>the lightsabers are basically bats that cut nothing
That sounds like shit. Would I be better off just watching a cut scene compilation on youtube or whatever they are?
Why are people so autistically vocal about the lack of dismemberment? There has never been a SW game in which cutting off limbs meant anything.
I'd honestly say no if the game were available for a cheaper price. Combat can be more fun when you play it than if you watch it, it's a 'you have to have been there' type feel. But if it's a dealbreaker for you, maybe you should wait until it's cheaper.
Personally, my issue with it is that it's way too grounded and realistic for a Star Wars game, so I was able to somewhat ignore the fucking wiffle bat lightsabers.
I don't know about autistic. But when I'm coming from the ROTS game that was made in 05 and it lets you cut things up with laser swords, I expect a game over a decade later to do the same.
It\s not about it meaning anything, it's 'Why the fuck wouldn't it be there?' It's a staple of lightsabers.
Jedi Outcast had similar lack of lightsaber dismemberment without mods, so I really don't get why it's an issue now.
I never got to play Jedi Outcast so you're talking to the wrong person, mate..
While we're on the subject of old games though, I played the Attack of the Clones game back when. Man, that was kind of sucktastic. I remember having fun playing as Mace. He absolutely wrecks shit in the versus mode of ROTS, too.
It was an okay game, but I got bored and put it down before I finished it which I normally never do with games.
However I'm also not a big Star Wars fan to begin with, so maybe you need some of that latent interest to stay interested.
They're weak wiffle bats, it's simply the nature of the game because otherwise you'd one-shot everything. You can get an upgrade after getting double jump for 3 skill points that increases your damage on everything and you can two-shot tons of things but that's close to endgame.
Dismemberment only happens on the final hit of certain enemies (Not humanoids except for the Brood). Stormtroopers pretty much always die in 1 hit except for TR-8R bat users who you have to wear down the posture bar of and obviously the Purge Troopers because they have that special Darth Vader alloy I can't remember the name of (Cortosis?) Nightkin are also damage sponges.
Ok in the most ok-est sense. Forgettable to the max. But you won’t absolutely hate it.
Fucking lmao. If I didn't know any better I'd think that was an Indiana Jones bit. Fuck it, was it?
>Bringing a staff to a Force fight
Physics and grabs lead to lots of unintentionally silly moments.
>Then the droid uses him like a basketball. Calls it 'Jediball'. Funniest shit I've ever seen.
It's a sekiro knockoff and a barebones one at that. Very little story too. When it actually does story it's not bad but those moments are far and few inbetween. Most of the time you'll just be exploring desolate planets with the same few enemies sprinkled in every now and then.
But star wars fans will take what they can get.
its an alright game, never played sekiro probably never will. Glad i pirated it though at the time,it had no replay value. think they've changed it and allowed players to have red saber after beating the game i think
>everything is either assassin's creed, batman or sekiro now
Go fuck yourselves Zig Forumstards
tits too big
what platform?
base xbone and PS4 versions run at 720p30fps and it will constantly dip below 30fps, as well as freeze mid-gameplay to load the next area
>as well as freeze mid-gameplay to load the next area
Turn off gameplay analytics being sent to EA. For some reason that fixes a lot of freezing and loading on top of framerate issues.
Its fun but definitely an Assassins Creed 1 scenario where it introduces good ideas and the sequel (hopefully) realizes its potential
FUCK KATHLEEN KENNEDY
FUCK DISNEY STAR WARS
FUCK EA
BRING BACK GEORGE LUCAS
MAKE LEGENDS CANON AND REMAKE FORCE UNLEASHED
looks boring as hell and has no dismemberment on half the enemies
