explain, I'm current playing sushi, and I haven't played rdr but plan to play 1 then 2 soon

but they both have stiff animations that make the controls feel worse than they should what would change

RDRII is very full of itself as a game.

It's the type of game where you can tell the creators thought "You don't know what you like, we know what you like, what you like is wrong, we're going to show you what you really like". Everything in the game is designed as if they're screaming at you through the TV "NO NO NO YOU'RE PLAYING IT WRONG YOU HAVE TO DO IT LIKE WE WANT". For example:

>Shooting is terrible, they have this awful shaky aim thing where your reticle just wobbles all over the place in fights to simulate adrenaline
>Movement is terrible, there's a full second of delay on input
>Animations are overly indulgent and repetitive, if you want to pick money out of a drawer you have to watch the excruciatingly slow animation of crouching down, opening the drawer, reaching for the money and putting the money away
>Tons of cool shit from Red Dead Redemption is done worse in II, like close quarters gun executions, upgrades, side quests
>It just loves robbing you of anything fun you can think up

RDR is a really fun game, RDR II is a really boring half assed simulator.

I prefer horse riding in RDR2. Don't know what it is about Ghost's horseback riding that feels "off" to me

Also wish the camera wasn't up Jin's ass constantly. I wanna zoom out and see the world around me and shit as I walk

Replay RDRII for a bit, it's 100x worse.

thanks

It is and it isn't if you know what I'm getting at. RDR/GTA moves like sludge because muh weighty movement meme but since the combat is focused on the shooting it doesn't suck as much as it should even if it fucking sucks the rest of the time. Ghosts movement is fine besides the occasional weird times you run at a slightly off angle because there was an obstacle nearby but the melee animations being stiff and having unnatural startup/winddowns outside the auto combo attacks really hurts the experience when its the majority of the direct combat.

who asked you to write an essay faggot

i, too, wish that rdr 2 was a 2014 ubisoft open world game

Shut the fuck up you underage scab.

It's barely one paragraph, if that's too much for you to read then fucking piss off back to your whatsapp group. This is a fucking video game DISCUSSION board, shut your fucking mouth and get out of my sight before I castrate you before you hit puberty.

lmao keep seething nerd

>but the melee animations being stiff and having unnatural startup/winddowns outside the auto combo attacks really hurts the experience when its the majority of the direct combat
Eh, the moves with a delay are often way more powerful. It's a trade off, you have to position and time it correctly and you're rewarded with one hit kills.

Illiterate faggot

I don't. I am enjoying GoT but it is an entirely different experience. RDR 2 was a far more relaxing, slow paced game where half the time I played I didn't even touch any of the missions. I just enjoyed doing stuff in the OW for the sake of doing it, like hunting, fishing, playing cards, etc.
GoT's world very much feels like a playground - I wouldnt really stop and do anything just for the sake of doing it, it's all about getting better gear/skills and driving the story forward and just killing stuff.

so mad lmao

I’ve been playing a lot of RDR2 lately and this game is a huge breath of fresh air. It’s incredibly immersive but remembers that it’s a video game and needs to be responsive and fun to play after 100+ hrs. I also much prefer natural visual cues to minimaps with waypoints and flashing stranger blips

>wahhhhh I can't read a paragraph!
>"So fuck off then"
>Y-Y-YOU MAD!
Retard

Can I play this game full stealth mode? I want to play similar to Tenchu, If the answer is yes I will buy it right now.

kek he played it on a poorman shitbox

>who asked you to write an essay
The user he's responding to retard lol

your post was really long and gay i didnt even finish it

I agree. I was really excited for RDR2, but ultimately, I think 1 is the much better game.

Both have major flaws
Tsushima is more fun since it isn't concerned with being too "realistic," but the structure follows that of the average open world game with checklists and repetitive activities

Once you get past the tutorial, yes.

Yes, I played it when it came out, not 1 year later like PC paupers.

You're really young and gay and I don't like you

Rockstar in a nutshell.

I caved in after reading all these threads and ordered sushi, it better be as fun as you anons say it is. I haven't touched Ass Creed since the first game, and the last open world I played was BotW. The fact this isn't made by ubisoft, the favourable Japanese feedback, and the developers having a hard on for autumn Japanese scenery and Samurai films is what tipped the balance for me.

I remember when I first played, I was following instructions and I misinterpreted a turn, and then I failed the mission instead of, say, having the character tell me it's the wrong way or something.

Here's my advice, be a honorable Samurai, stealth is the most generic shit while combat is surprisingly satisfying.
Also, instead of riding your horse everywhere, try walking around places, it feels really nice to just admire the beautiful scenery, and that traveling ronin look.
