RNG scattering or shaky reticule? Which one would you prefer?
RNG scattering or shaky reticule? Which one would you prefer?
cs go is the only fun fps at the moment damn
I feel like I'd like CS more if the crosshair jumped to where your bullets are going instead of your bullets going above your crosshair.
0 spread, damage drop off based on distance
I recently thought about this while trying to play peace Walker shooting range. I'll have the laser sight dead center on a head, completely still, and it'll miss. Meanwhile I'll switch to a scoped weapon and it shakes. Why can't they just make up their damn minds?
RNG scattering adds a sense of risk management that requires fluid intelligence rather than rote memorization.
The crosshair should reflect the deviation limit.
Shaky reticule where the bullets always follow the path of the barrel.
RNG BUT with the spread getting tighter as you fire
Shaky reticle, always. I'm pretty sure that CSGO doesn't do a random pattern and that all the bullets go a certain way every time you fire, but unless you're some sort of god who has played the game for thousands of hours it definitely feels random.
A shaky reticule that follows a distinct pattern.
Also the pattern should be sensible, i.e. describe an actual, plausible recoil pattern.
As a veteran with some experience this makes a lot of sense when using a scope. It frustrates me how in MGS the sniper rifles shake randomly, that's not what happens. The drift steadily follows your breathing and then steadies at the end of your exhale which is when you should fire
aimassit
Recoil.
The gun should recoil, and the bullet should go where the gun aims. If you are extremely skilled you should be able to learn the recoil pattern and counter it.
Insurgency sandstorm does this perfectly, although the recoil is a little too unrealistically high. Also there should be a proper crosshair which expands/contracts to reflect the recoil deviation but not a random cone of fire.
Also absolutely no free float, the crosshair needs to remain centered.
What I have just described is the perfect system.
this is correct
You don't have to do fixed recoil patterns with this so rng can still be a measure
100% accurate at all times, fuck this meme spread shit
>Have to stop moving to shoot
Why did this mongoloid style of shooter ever take off?
Reticule shakes based on RNG; actual bullet path is reflected in reticule shake.
Post one school shooter circle strafing. I'll wait.
Post one school shooter bunny hopping with a knife out in between kills. Who gives a fuck about realism. The gunplay itself is shit is what I am saying.
Wouldn't work. For example, rifles using an intermediate caliber (5.56, 7.62x39, 5.45x39 etc.) have almost no recoil, even in full auto. Most recoil presented in video games is completely unrealistic. Also your gun doesn't start shooting in to the sky and shaking horribly with horizontal recoil when you fire it in real life. Recoil mostly goes back through your arm in to your shoulder.
The only way for recoil to be as bad as it is in video games would be to hold your gun incorrectly, i.e. be a completely brand new shooter with no experience.
you're not wrong user but thats a very special rifle you posted and can't be used as standard on how other rifle's recoil work
Tarkov did bullet spread right, shoots where you aim and in full auto there's a slight increase of the spread before settling down to where you're aiming
I want the bullets to go exactly where my mouse goes with 100% accuracy every single time. Muh RNG scattering, muh shaky reticFUCK off, I don't want that garbage, I aim where I aim and the bullets must follow my command
the auto recoil compensation thing is fucking garbage what are you on about
It also leads to burst firing being the worst thing you can do, you always just full auto like a mong
nah, then every gun would be the same
Nigga its barely any noticeable, unless you're trying to snipe someone while firing from the hip it won't affect you in the slightest in a firefight
???
It's extremely good, there is zero vertical recoil after the first 5 or so bullets
Not moving my mouse here
just last night I was arguing with friends that CSGO shooting is like throwing dice. You can have better chances by staying still and crouching but it's a shit system anyway
nigga thats what i said here
NONE. the only good fps's is unironically call of duty and escape from tarkov.
