I only saw people praising it for being "art". Games are usually pretty overrated if that's the only praise they get. The only comments about gameplay were just that it's generic.
>random notes being played on a bass
Soul
Great unique art style.
It's soul
The reason people liked it because they knew what they were and did it well. The game had passion and S O U L.
its different
>NOOOOO YOU DON'T GET IT IT'S QUIRKY AND AVANT-GARDE JUST LET PEOPLE ENJOY THINGS
Isn't this a pin design from TWEWY?

Who are you quoting?
This but unironically.

There has always been a niche for these weird off-world RPGs
original artstyle
doesn't overstay its welcome, knows the limits of how much content a game like this can squeeze out
lots of pretentious points for Zig Forums since they like any game that increases their hipster power level
Exploration
that's about it. The game's combat is rpg maker tier.
Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass is a better rpg in combat, gameplay, world map, exploration and story and it's on rpgmaker
Not a bad game, it's just a small game that knows its limits. Skip the first just play the second
literally just because it's "indie" and soibois get the smug satisfaction of not playing a (often better) aaa game instead. that's the appeal of most indie "games."
I really enjoyed it, fun but simple. Nice art, the characters are cool. Most of the music is a mess, but there are a few awesome tunes. Cant say whether or not it can be called a good game, but I'm really glad I played it.

NOOO Y-YOU CAN'T JUST ENJOY VIDEOGAME WAAAAAH
Vinesauce uploads a video on this game and it immediately gets shitposted to death even though it's been out for years. You don't even play videogames

Newfag.
It has a cool artstyle and unique character designs, I'm a sucker for claymation too. What's not to like about it? Its rather short but its also 3 bucks.

Did you misunderstand my post user? Is that why you put it under cringe?

omg TWITTER IS THE BEST
you were the first to even mention Vinny on this thread. Obsessed
Just noticing very obvious patterns. I like Vinny

>Skip the first just play the second
If you do so, you are missing the entire point of the sequel.
I love Somsnosa!
>The game's combat is rpg maker tier.
Its actually not bad. Lots of fun abilities and enemies all have personality and movesets. Its not perfect but its far from boring.

I haven't played 2, but I enjoyed 1. Big fan of it's style and claymation is a winner in my book. Only thing that annoyed me was the randomly generated text. I stopped reading most of it after the first few lines because it seemed so pointless. Maybe that was the point.
Then you should check out 2. Seeing all the clay models warp and move in combat is really surreal.

Oh dear gosh, when I see some spergy nitwit bitch about the gameplay in an obvious art game that was made only to showcase and promote the developer's artwork, it reaffirms how "low IQ chimp" Zig Forums truly is.
Intention is everything in how a game should be judged, including what aspects were the priority and what the intended audience feels are the only valid opinions, not YOU.
