I would prefer 4k 60, I spent last gen hoping they'll switch to that. But for fuck sake just use easy techniques to make it look better. Bake your fucking lighting in, Jesus.

It makes me feel like 343's priorities are kinda fucked by Microsoft mandate for 60FPS over anything else. Plus with how flat and untextured the weapons are, it also makes it feel like they were really planning on launching with raytracing to hide the lack of detail and lighting issues galore.

Actually I should rephrase that as "4K 60FPS". Because that's the real problem, having to compromise so much shit so they can get things running at such high resolution smoothly.

Let's talk about Halo 5's enemies moving at 30 FPS from a distance, something that's fixed in Infinite.

That's my problem, Halo 5 looks better, and it runs at 60 fps even on the normal Xbone, but on the Xbone X it runs at 4K too. There's really no excuse.

Good video, but the issue is that there's plenty of games that don't look this awful, and they don't use raytracing. So not having raytracing isn't really a good excuse.

Also I don't know why he thinks the textures get a pass because "PBR textures in shadow look bad". That's simply not true. PBR textures typically look acceptable everywhere. Every in a game as shitty as Fallout 4.
