Yeah that's what I had in mind since it's the only Metroidvania I've actually 111 percented. But for a third comparison, what's something like.. Aria of Sorrow? Which is the good GBA/DS game?

It's a steampunk train mech, which is silly but it still fits the aesthetic. Dracula was notorious for having far more advanced technology than humans in castelvania, and in bloodstained I'm pretty sure 'alchemists' and steampunk-esue techs are the norm of the setting.

The corgi in the mech is the only new party member i'm even interested in. The other two seem like relitively boring mixed classed that just dont stand out. If killing is still a thing I'm probably never going to play them.

I never even noticed really, his sprite is a good bit more detailed
pretty sure he gets an extra color on his pallette to add shine, but that + the size makes him look a lot more modern
