Are the Intel 10gens a meme?

Or should I just save a couple of hundred bux and buy the 3700x?

save your money, buy ryzen, runs faster and cooler in all but extremely niche applications and you don't have to buy an entire new goddamned motherboard every time intel has a new thought

wait for zen3

Intel is not a viable choice for gaming builds. At this point their only real customers are going to be businesses while AMD rakes in the consumer and professional markets

How >future proof is the r5 3600?

Intel is not a viable choice for anyone, everyone is switching to Ryzen.

literally just wait for zen3. intel is still fasd but the premium you have to pay for that is becoming harder to stomach

>Intel delayed their actual new CPUs to 2023
>by then AMD will be ahead of Intel without even trying
Go AMD, fuck these idiots, they deserve bankrupt

is zen3 coming out this year?

2-3 months

ohshiiit ima wait then ty

>AMD dies in GPU market and replaced by NVIDIA as the only real option
>Intel dies in CPU market and replaced by AMD as the only real option
What market will Intel move to and become the only real option?

It's hilarious how Intel just dawdled too hard and now they're in a hell of a pit. On top of getting their CPUs performing as well as they did by ignoring a metric boatload of security requirements.

I wouldn't go that far, but they definitely deserve to get their shit kicked, which hopefully turns into them doing something right for once. Wishing for a monopoly on either side is absolutely retarded. That said, AMD needs all support they can get so that they hopefully can pull something similar on the GPU market. We need really need some competition there.

SSDs

love my enterprise class Intel SSD i got on the cheap.

Nah samsung have a huge market share i doubt intel will do much there

That's what people said about Intel 3 years ago

10600k over 3600/3700 any day of the week

They're good, and they lead the pack by a mile, but they should have been better.
>should I just save a couple of hundred bux and buy the 3700x?
Not for vidya, they're really slow. I'd recommend a 9700k if wanting to save a bit while also having close to the best.

If they didn't gimped out H and B chipset it would be okay. 10400 and bellow doesn't make sense because you are stuck with slow ram speeds or need to buy Z chipset board thats not only expensive but also pairing with non k cpu makes no sense. 10700k and up makes no sense since power draw and bad scaling in vidya. This makes 10600kf only one worth considering, but again you need Z chipset board which is expensive and there will be only one more cpu generation(probably still 14nm++++++) to upgrade to, so while cpu has value entire platform does not. Also you need good psu and cpu cooler unlike amd cpus

You need better cooling with AMD and their idiotic voltage spikes in ryzen and yet intel still manages to shit the bed agaist them

I mean you are fine with decent single tower cooler for like 50$ unless you oc 3900 or 3950. Intel somehow menaged to get 300W power consuption in i9 10900k at 5ghz so i don't even know how they did it. Intel will unironically die if they don't fix their shit fast beacuse unlike amd intels other markets are not as profitable

>You need better cooling with AMD
what?
stock coolers included with AMD CPUs are perfectly adequate if you don't overclock

>50
try $30. Not needing more than 212 evo or Mugen 2

perfectly fine if you like 50 °C idle

Ryzenfags cope

>300W power consuption in i9 10900k at 5ghz so i don't even know how they did it
That's overclocked, you retarded ESL AMD shill. Go back to /g/.

The 10400F is below $200 and is slightly ahead of the R3600. Most under appreciated CPU desu

A 10400 on a z490 board is literally better than any current ryzen cpu for gaming.

8700K. You can get a 3600X for like 140 bucks at Micro Center

A Ryzen 3600 with a good kit of Samsung B-Die DDR4 3600CL14 should match a 10600k.

My go to recomendation is usually arctic freezer 34 which is which is 35$ so yeah i overshoot
50°C idle is perfectly fine
There is no point in i9 if you can't oc it to 5ghz because it loses most lead on amd then. 300w is still not okay, this is literally threadripper 32 core level power consuption

buy 10700k

neither is dying you sensationalist mongoloid

you have to be retarded to buy AMD GPU even if youre on a budget

Unless you use linux, then its other way around
