Problem is - it is a shitty workaround, not ownership. Also, in case with GoG, there is been good legal talk how it can be challenged outside of EU once GoG closes with good chances of winning and forcing you legally delete the downloaded content (altho it will b hard to enforce but that is besides the point)

Eventually there will be some form of digital ownership but not in 20-30 years so I'm gonna pirate as long as possible

I buy most of my games digitally because I have a huge hard drive hooked up to my console, digital sales are good, I don't like searching through bargain bins at vidya stores, I've never heard of someone being denied access to their digital games, and I want to be able to switch games at a moment's notice without having to find and switch discs. However if a game I'm really excited about is coming out I'll get the special edition. So, I end up with physical copies of all my favorite games anyway.

It's embarrassing to be a sperg like this bud. I understand where you are coming from, but PC archives everything. Nearly every game gets cracked. This defeats the need for a buyfag license and guarantees it will be playable forever. On top of that everything on console eventually becomes emulated.
BTW, when Steam pulls games from their store, if you already bought it you can re-download it. Mortal Kombat Kollection was pulled from the store but I already owned it so it remains in my library and i can install and reinstall it as much as I want.
