I'm raising money with eroges on Patreon to make a real game. The problem is that all the know-how I'm getting refers to Visual Novels, so I'm probably going to have to be stuck in this genre forever.
What if I said you could Boom AND Coom?
It was going great until my doctor moved to another country and the new one refused to prescribe the amphetamines I had been taking for a decade. Now it's ogre.
>needing pills to function at all
If you don't naturally have what it takes you shouldn't have bothered at all.
Fuck off, faggot. Once my dopamine levels recover I'll put your talentless ass to shame.
>he doesn't use every tool available to him
I can't decide what I even want to make desu
Okay you fucking niggers
The drawing tablet came in two days ago
What do I do now? How do I get good at this shit?
Keep up the cope. I'm sure your defective brains are pretty good at that at least.
Give me ideas of fun game mechanics to implement in to a murder mystery to prevent it from being a vn

I'm finishing my third text game with ChoiceScript. The setting is similar to o VtM but it has a few twists, and you play as a "vampiric prince".
Me and my buddy spent three years doing it and we've recently discovered that we'll end up having to compete with FOUR games about vampires being released within the same year, all written in the same language and being published by basically the same company(although through a different label).
To make things worse, three of those games are actually inside the official World or Darkness setting. A secret deal has been announced recently.
The only thing we have going on for ourselves is that our game ilhas a hub-like structure with random events and such, which isn't common in these types of games.
Draw shit, don't look shit up before you do anything. It's the same with fighting game newfags thinking they need a dictionary to even play the game.
I used to be creative but it got boring so I just fuck my gf and wait for the end.
Trying to learn 3D modelling so I can make a 3D game. It's a very slow process
Coming early 2029
look at references and copy shit.
Loomis is a meme, just copy things you enjoy
Got stuck on making Armour, my girl is nude nowadays and it's really awkward when I work on her at the coffee shops. Why do people think it's OK to look at your screen...
Rimworld and Fallout modding in a nutshell
Dont work in public if you're concious about people looking at your screen retard
>tfw art is more fun than programming
Copying is actually good advice. People keep saying, "noo you gotta learn the right way" or "you have to develop your own style" but copying from the masters is historically how people learned.
They're more warning against picking up some retarded "how to draw manga" book.
No I mean in general it doesn't matter what creative field there is but there's always some group of people who will say "be original, find your own style." Like in writing people will say "develop your own voice." Which is good and all, except even in writing people learned from studying and copying from those before them.
Learning to read ruined my writing style
Nah, there's a lot of people that think you have to draw 100% from imagination all of the time or you're "cheating," and art classes very much are hoping you'll develop accidental genius if you're not directly guided.
