OG Broly is pure soulless bullshit. Yeah I know every fucking soíboi under the sun parrots this but he is the embodiment of all the wrong things people value in Dragon Ball. He was created when they were churning out a movie per year, right as saiyans had completely eclipsed all other previously-relevant characters as their muscles continued to bulge in order to defeat Cell. He is a by-committee soulless product made for merch.

Nu-Broly brings back the spirit of DB's penchant for homage in making him a Tarzan archetype, and brought out the first bit of the old, soulful Goku personality that was missing for all of Super when Goku tries to calm him in down in SSG form. It's a movie that was carefully crafted and didn't kick off a yearly sludge dispenser of "big events"

That's why he doesn't join the main cast on Earth. He's left on his childhood planet with Cheelai and the old man so he can have a good life for once, then when U7 or the multiverse is at stake again Goku can call in a favor. I hope when he does we see little ayylmao/Saiyan babies. Super Broly deserves that green pussy.

I think the first two Broly movies are fun but you're not wrong. He was designed to stroke all the power level autism boners and succeeded. Super Broly is one of the best Dragonball movies ever; maybe the animation isn't as clean as Dead Zone or Fusion Reborn but I think it actually tells a better story than any of the Super series or most of Z for that matter.

But why didn't Paragus try to redirect his rage? Paragus has a vendetta against the Vegeta royal family, Kakarot doesn't factor into that at all.

Super Broly fight has dramatic reversals and Vegeta/Goku/Broly have the advantage at different stages of the fight

I love the way FighterZ puts together movesets. This one cool moment is seen plenty of times every Broly match because it's his command grab and also a great combo ender as it leads to a knockdown.

Why were all the Z movies filled with music that fit right into 2006 youtube dbz amvs?

yeah OG broly 's backstory is retarded but the context is better, at the time there was only SSJ, having ssj2 3 and god thrown into mix downplays his character.

Man it's crazy how far these two have come in dbfz since they were released. Removing fuzzies really did make this game a lot better.

Android/Cell Saga is all over the place because Toriyama had the editors tell him to change the villain like 6 or 7 times. This is why focus constantly shifts from 19 & 20 to 17 & 18 to 16 to Cell to 2nd Form Cell to Perfect Cell, and then finally when Cell becomes Perfect the arc has focus but it's like 70% over. Buu Saga is Toriyama ceasing to give a shit so he made the villain a cartoon character and introduced shit like Super Saiyan 3 & Fusion while putting Goku front and center for most of it because the audience hates when anybody other than Goku is the final victor. Super is incredibly mediocre 90% of the time but it has a few decent action scenes and some good character interaction moments.

Really, if you just watched the Great Saiyaman Arc (that short period at the start of the Buu Saga before Babidi & Dabura show up) and the Super Broly movie you'd be fine. Maybe get into the manga to get through the other stuff a lot faster, or read the Moro arc of the Super manga since that's not yet been animated.

I know ratboy Goku, Kid Buu, and manlet Basegeta are still at the top alongside Bardock but it's nice seeing Z Broly go from what I'd consider Bottom 5 to Top 8 over several patches. Super Broly & Cooler being Upper-Mid is nice too. Nappa's also okay instead of the trash he was at launch.

When I watched all of them recently on the Funimation website it didn’t have any of those songs. DBZ didn’t have Cha La or Rock the Dragon either, some generic instrumental song but I kinda liked it

My feels about the movie were rapidly going downhill while I was looking at the remaining time and realising there is no way they could do a satisfying conclusion in the short remaining time. And they didnt, the ending was absolute shit.
Such a shame too since I feel like the buildup to Broly going super gorilla was great. Especially that moment where Goku and Broly run into each other in the hall and you could see the air fucking heating up.

This is my favorite powerup moment in the franchise. Yeah, the first time Goku goes Super Saiyan or when he goes 3 against Buu are great too, but the visuals and the visible struggle in this one are so incredible.
Haven't touched online much in Season 3 but GT Goku's still like 80% of the threat he once was. People just dropped him because they took away his most braindead tools and his ridiculous Spirit Bomb setups.
