I heard XIV has a good story and some of the job quests are pretty kino (the ones named specifically were samurai and dark knight), are there any other jobs with a story you like? I just started, and samurai and dark knight aren't available for a while, so which job has the best story available from the beginning?

Dragoon (Lancer) has the most plot relevant NPCs and shares accessories with Samurai if you want to swap later on.
Tranny game.
GLA is great even if PLD is fucking GARBAGE. ARC is nice. DRG ain't bad either.
Enjoy your time, sprout, and enjoy your time with the game. There's really nothing worth rushing for.
XIV is mostly pedobait dont play it, it has no endgame
Pugilist is hilarious. I thought RDM was okay, too.
Dragoon pre 60 is pretty good, especially if you tackle it prior to Heavensward. Going through HW as a Goon has a lot of story impact and some minor but slightly significant implications. The whole pre 60 Goon questline is like a giant prelude to Heavensward. If you try out Goon and like it, I highly recommend sticking with it through at least HW's primary conclusion because of it.
>MMOs are only worth it for the endgame
It's garbage game design, and the fact that it's all zoomies expect anymore has just destroyed the genre. MMOs are dead; I only hope they can finally crash so we can finally get something else in its place.
All of em are garbage, but Dragoon has some neat shit in Heavensward if you did that one.
Also if you just started playing you should know that on August 11 they're increasing the free trial to go up to level 60 and the end of the first expansion
>I want gacha games to take over the mmo industry
Kill yourself
It's not a battle job but Alchemist's story is kino and written by the same person who did Dark Knight.
Do you have a reading comprehension problem?
I dropped this game because of the eureka trash
Your endgame focused autism that Jeff 'Tigole Biddies' Kaplan started is what killed MMOs. You have no idea what a proper MMO is supposed to be because you only know about raiding autism and item levels.
Arcanist is nice, then summoner and scholar.
>MMOs are dead; I only hope they can finally crash so we can finally get something else in its place.
What the do you think would replace MMOs? What if not mobileshit? Think for a second.
It's not like the genre is going anywhere anyways.
Can't wait for 80-90 Warrior where Gorge gets horny again.
Criken isn't looking to good nowadays.
Where did I say anything about endgame? I'm not that other guy you were talking to. MMOs have been failing for a decade precisely because they want to imitate WoW's endgame threadmill.
Ah, I see, so you've never played any MMOs that weren't post-WoW era. There's a lot of possibility for MMOs, but we're stuck in a cycle where MMOs are neither massive nor multiplayer because they are stuck in instanced-based incremental endgame-focused number boosts to keep people like you on the treadmill.
you'll be helping Magnai find his Nhaama.
>I guess the real Moon was the friends we made along the way
NIN's overall quality is pretty high even if it dips when a certain someone isn't there.
PGL is pure fucking gold for like two scenes and then you're a MNK and it's all downhill but you get some cute catgirls I guess.
BRD is surprisingly underrated for how popular the job is I think, it has some really satisfying character development up in there.
BLM has some fun moments.
RDM has cute.
That's all that really sticks out to me at the moment.
Does BRD get better post-50? Because it wasn't very good up to 50.
BLM only gets good at Stormblood
Both are good what'e the problem?
Nice adhom
>MMOs are dead; I only hope they can finally crash so we can finally get something else in its place.
You said that you wanted MMOs to die, not just themepark MMOs. Formulate your posts better. I too wish that we could move on to something else.
IGNORE DoW/DoM
PRAISE DoH/DoL
Seriously, some of the best job quest lines are hidden in crafting.
WAR is based if you like romcoms.
Dragoon made me feel like a power ranger so there’s that
The post 50 quest is where most of that character development I was jacking off takes place. If I remember correctly it finally fucking pays off those characters (or maybe just the one, you can probably guess) it barely used from 30-50.
SAM's story was shit after 60, on top of that the Iai animations are mostly shit.
The rogue questline is pretty entertaining.
>Ishgard is doomed unless you deliver three high quality potatoes
Nah they were dumb as fuck for the most part
BASED. Lalafells are HOT.
Bard's 50-60 is pretty good, as its about music
Bard 60-70 is about Gridanian History. the level 80 quest is pretty perfect though
The entire alchemist 1-50 quest line is an absolute treat and nobody can tell me otherwise.
>WAR is based if you like romcoms.
The romance was really cute but the entire rest of the story aside from that was so fucking weighed down with the "we git strongth from our inner beast, o no my inner beast is running rampant pls halp until you puke" that it's pretty trash overall.
All of ALC is great and it's even better because it all ties into the MSQ too.
I'm tried of MCH. What other job should I level while I'm clearing out stuff?
ALC is very good, though I find it amusing that the level 60 quest item relies on you making it in the quest but it can be bought
Sprout here. That guy on the right is one of the Ishgardian Temple Knights, right? Does he show up again after HW given how often he seems to come up in maymays? Because he seemed to fuck right off after Thordan got his shit pushed in and I haven't seen him since.
I don't like how every character loses control but the WoL has perfect mastery over it on the first try.
The WoL is fucking busted. Not only are they a expert in most major forms of combat and healing, they're experts in all forms of craft and gathering.
He's not a temple knight. Go do the DRK quests now.
Can I just say that even though I get why the WoL is the ultimate Mary Sue, it's just so tiresome when the WoL can barely interact with any scene. I'd rather play a wallflower and have other characters that can actually interact, if only so it didn't feel so cheap that everyone wants to suck me off because I nodded at them 20 quests back.
>Posting an image like that
>Guys I'm new
No you aren't.
He's a DRK quest character and you should leave the thread before you get spoiled
They are mediocre at worst and can get really fucking good
Comes down to personal taste I guess. The SB WHM stuff hit really close to home for me.
No you idiot that's Y'Shtola
Welp. Guess I have something new to do.\
Since when is understanding a prerequisite for posting? I'll prove it now.
