Worth it?
Worth it?
only if you pirate it
Ya. It's good just lacks end game content.
3D adds a nice new dimension to building in comparison to Factorio, but the tech progress ends abruptly, there are some rough corners in it, and even some content that is marked as ”WIP” inside the game. Unless you’re in hurry, I’d put it into ”play later when more complete” bin.
It's pretty neat, as long as you are fine with the fact that it is ultimately a shallower version of Factorio.
I would say it still has a fairly long way to go, and I'd recommend waiting one or two updates more.
alright for playing it once or twice but the fact its a single map with static ore deposits really hurts replayability
its fun and a good time waster but it is still in early access basically so just like what the other user mentioned, the tech progression just kinda ends.
even with that though, i still got some good fun with it, finding out how to build optimal setups for shit.
if they actually keep this game up and updated at a fairly good pace, it might actually end up being more fun than factorio.
Maybe
If you like factorio but when you download mods you install things like new vehicles rather than the factory planner or angels mod, this game is definitely for you.
What is with all this fucking shilling of this game, Ive seen like 10 videos on YouTube pop up regardless of what I'm watching now it's fucking on here
You get them in your reccomended? Ive watched zisteaus videos repeatedly and i havent gotten ANY other satisfactory vids.
What the fuck are you watching?
Bought it yesterday and so far I've put 10 hours into it. Funny how I work 11 hours a day five days a week working in a winery with a factory work environment and come home and play a game where I build factories for fun.
Also the area around my hub is a clusterfuck of machinery and conveyors help me
Minecraft inflation sfm videos
Start placing foundations. Things get a bit easier to organize with them. Just keep in mind that most the machines are different widths and its pretty much impossible to satisfy your OCD without a lot of concrete.
I'm really disappointed by how you can't stack assemblers and other factory objects. For a game that focuses on the 3D aspect, lacking an easy way to build vertically is kind of puzzling.
It’s actually a pretty cool game if you are into crafting time sinks, think factorio but with z-axis and without the constant threat of getting zerk rushed, the machinery models are pretty based too as they have smooth animations that doesn’t overlay with each other even on close proximity.
That being said, it’s still a game on development, the devs are pretty active tho so I think it’s a safe bet for now, another con is the lack of a proper building grid, as in you can place the foundations in any position and build from there, pretty annoying if you consider the doors positioning with won’t alligneate with the conveyor belts if the position isn’t perfect, safe with the angles of the belts, it’s a minor inconvenience that can be overridden with a save editor tho
t. played over 1000 hours

It's a nice game but around tier 5 the shallowness of it displays itself. You get a lot of shiny toys to play with, and it's nice to design your factory for the aesthetics, but eventually you will notice progression becomes very stale. You need a large factory to efficiently manufacture all the important items, but actually building and multiplying your structures is very tedious. Especially so if you're OCD about not crossing belts.
It's autism: the game
If that's your thing go right ahead

implying
No. Devs are slow as hell. Over a year since release and they've added pretty much nothing worthwhile.
I believe in you.
Actually, each of the updates was very significant, both in terms of content and in terms of ballancing and polishing stuff out.
They are slow as hell, sure. And they are nowhere near as autistic with polish as Wube is, but to say the updates did not bring anything significant is very wrong.
The difference between update 2 and update 3 is extreme, feels almost like a whole different game.
They do take their sweet time with the updates though.
I have a strong suspicion the reason i like citybuilders and games like factorio and have a strong compulsion to play sim city with RTS games is because of the feeling of control you get
You can work in a factory and be impressed with the machinery around you but in the game, you run this shit. you built it you run it its yours and this is your factory turning out your products and its arranged the way you want it
This. The game virtually forces verticality yet it actively discourages by making it way more difficult then it needs to be.
yes
the game really needs some way to gate exploration, subnautica has a fantastic single map, and it worked because its gated by crush depth
its literally the only good game in its genre
How the fuck can you play this shit in 2d. Jesus christ.
>engineer
>female only
pozzed trash
Can you do really complex shit like in factorio?
Like mega complex train shit?
t. brainlet who can't into factorio
now, yeah.
on release it was shit, lacked content and ran like ass.
updates have fixed it and the shit they have planned is pretty ambitious.
the 3D is a nice touch and the gfx are nice. but this guy's right, . You could honestly put it off another year or two to be honest.
it kind of is, except you can choose behind which gated parts of exploration you're stuck behind by picking one of the 4 starts.
but yeah i get what you mean, it's like once you get hypertubes, trains or the jetpack the barriers between different biomes become a joke to traverse, and it doesn't take that long to get to those.
