One day when things calm down to the point where i no longer feel the need to sleep 2 feet away from a loaded rifle or I move out into the country where I don't have to worry about such things, I'm going to play this game and analyze it as a look into the brain of a male feminist.

The footage I've seen (gameplay and most of the cutscenes) confirms something I've been suspecting for a while: that male feminists are some of the most deranged misogynistic violent people in existence.

While I would never advocate for any sort of censorship or legislation around videogames. It pisses me off to no end that Grand Theft Auto gore mod footage is banned from Youtube while footage of this game is pushed front and center where kids can see it. I'm genuinely curious to see what type of stories come out of Naughty Dog developers 5-10 years down the line. Right now all we have are rumors but I'm waiting for a Mommy Dearest style expose on Druckmann. I'm almost certain something like this will drop. I would not be surprised at all of this guy runs an R. Kelly style sex cult.

I would say a lot of games tried to be more gritty and realistic with their violence but the hardware did not allow them to look as lifelike as TLOU2. With time, games are going to make killing NPCs simulate an actual murder with even more detail and that's only because they will have better hardware to allow them to do so.

In RDR2 you can shoot a guy in the throat or lungs and watch him drown in his own blood for like a minute. kinda fucked up don't know why they added that

there's plenty of games with rediculous violence in them but what sets the last of us 2 apart from them is how realistic the human interaction aspect is. I've never killed anyone but I imagine they would be begging for their lives, cowering, crying and screaming just like they do in this game and just like they haven't done before in any games before it.

RDR2's violence is a lot closer to combat footage I've seen. I think the thing that makes TLOU2 so much worse is that in RDR2 you actually have a choice of how you handle things like that. I don't think there's any point IN RDR2 where you are forced to kill anyone who isn't trying to kill you (people bring up the part with the stable boy but you can do that non-lethally too) You can use the lasso if you really want to spare someone, or knock them out and they wake up a few minutes later in a daze. If you see someone coughing up blood for 1 minutes you can end them quickly with a shot to the head.

TLOU2 feels much more like the Clockwork Orange experiment where you are just being forced to watch Druckmann's snuff film with no way to slow down the murder except to turn off the game.
