For me it's PlayStation®5 Digital Edition

For me it's PlayStation®5 Digital Edition.

hehe i hope somoene post le soi wojak edit :)

Digital consoles are absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't buy that for 100 dollars.

I'm waiting for the PS5 Pro

Can you explain? My PC doesn't have Disk drive, all my games are digital and I don't have any PS4 discs so it's logical for me to buy Digital.

Have fun not being able to shop around, and being forced to pay $69.99 (plus tip) to Sony, outside of sales.

Games install to the Hard Drive even if you have the disk. The benefits of the disk drive are fewer and fewer

Physical games were already pretty worthless with the PS4 considering that the system wants you to update the games and download content before it even allows you to start the game.

The moment they shut down online for PS4 most games will simply be unplayable. What you are buying is basicly a disc with an installer on it.

apple has been known to remove media from their servers that people have paid to own/download digitally virtually forever based on the terms of service as long as they pay for the service. they're shit outta luck now and i wait for the day ps4 games are removed from people's digital download access and they realize the only way to play their game will be from a physical copy

>Physical games were already pretty worthless with the PS4 considering that the system wants you to update the games and download content before it even allows you to start the game.

>disable internet
>put in disk
>play game
there you go, you don't have to update
why would you need to update a complete game you paid for?

Because this does not work with every game.

Often publishers are shitheads and you basicly buy an installer on disc with no actual game data whatsover and they pull the data from the server. Or you have games which need day1 updates in order to even run.

>Often publishers are shitheads and you basicly buy an installer on disc with no actual game data whatsover and they pull the data from the server.
The games that do this sort of thing, still aren't that common. It's mostly just Activision that likes pulling this kikery, and only retards buy games from them anyway.
>muh patches
Most Japanese games run fine without them.

PSP Go says hello

Imagine using discs in 2021.

And unless it gets a complete edition, the game is stuck at 1.0, no dlc, no updates because the servers are dead!

Fuck you

then obviously you buy a game when it's complete. if you pay for an incomplete product you have an incomplete experience.

if you buy a game and feel that the price you paid for the product you received was fair or enjoyable, you're happy. if later they release an update, you can choose to pay for it, but you already got your money's worth otherwise.

sour grapes is real for dumbasses

I'm not gonna get it at release cuz there aren't any games announced for it that I'm interested in, like yeah Demon Souls is neat, Spiderman is neat but a remake and an extension are not really system seller for me. If it was 2 or a stand alone FromSoft game I'd probably go for it since I bought PS4 just for Bloodborne.
Also would get disc version, cuz I'm a massive jew when it comes to money and I sell games as soon as I beat them, unless I like them plenty.

If you already own PS4 then yes but if you don't then I think it's worth getting just for bloodborne and gravity rush

>My PC doesn't have Disk drive
absolute state of pc chuds

Digital will actually cost more in the long run. Imagine never having the chance to pick up a physical disc game that you stumble upon that someone is selling for cheap - some digital titles almost never go down in price whereas shops have to move old stock etc.

Don't buy shit games, retatrd.

For some reason where I live discs cost the same amount of money as digital version on PSN. Some PSN cost even cheaper because they are currently on sale.

>shop around
Are you a woman or something.
Who actually enjoys going to the shops for me when its absolutely necessary just in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible.

>waiting for the PS5 to get released so everyone starts selling their PS4s in order to fund it
>gonna get myself a used PS4 to play Bloodborne and Gravity Rush

Hurry up Sony. I also need a new BD player. Release that overpriced trash with no games.

Dude I got a ps4 from a retailer 1 year after launch for like 200 euro

200 is too much for a console with only 2-3 games i care about.

For 100 i will take it. And no. I can afford to pay more but i just don't see any reason to spend more money than needed on a system i am not really passionate about.

Bloodborne is unplayable on PS4.

your PC can buy from all kinds of stores that resell keys

a ps5 digital can only buy from playstation store or buy stolen accounts with cd keys on them, do the math

I'll still buy the disc version because with the backward compat stuff I only have my games on Disc.

With digital only you can't buy second hand so have to pay more. That's why steam is so expensive

then why do you want it poorfag lmao

>steam
>expensive

lmao I buy new games on steam for like 40$ on launch day, maybe try not to be fucking stupid

For 2-3 games but again i do not want to spend much money on it because paying 200+ for 3 games is a bad deal.

I spend 300 on a Switch but only because it has +10 games i actually want to play.

Look at this faggot that can't use a VPN lmao

I'll just wait for the Slim. It'll be cheaper and have a bigger SSD by that point. Not to mention actually having games.

2022 for slim?

The only good thing about that model is it being the most likely one to get exploited/hacked

Everything besides that speaks against it

>doesn't have any interesting features which future revisions could cut
>future versions will be cheaper
>and less bulky
>there will also be more games out
>if it doesn't get hacked the OG PS5 will be worth jackshit compared to later special edition models

That and the PS5 here is just ugly as shit. No amount of customization and color swap can change that. The thing is big, bulky and ugly. Even the Series X looks better and that is just a boring as fridge with no personality.

2023 if anything
