Way the fuck better and while the loot is there, it's far easier to control the assigned gear effects via tempering and you can even temper accessories since the very beginning

if you want to just beat the game once or twice, get the plat then you don't need to worry about your loot

Yes. The loot system is the same but with better filter options and more gear having locked effects to try and distinguish everything slightly, which is to say there was so many methods to make the loot completely harmless and take such little time to deal with, which is still the same in 2 as well that you can interact with it barely at all and should have looked into that.

I mean, a new skill is a new skill and that's worth getting on principle in my eyes, but as for Sacred Bird Cry it does decent damage and comes out fast but has a bit of recovery and not much range, can do way more damage if you spend the Anima up close for the sword beams, which also helps with range, gives a ton of Amrita charge if you spend Anima too, but removes the Ki Pulse making the recovery potentially a little worse, though you can still cancel that with Burst Counters or Yokai Skills in both cases. The biggest potential problem with it though is the input and it's nature as a universal skill rather than getting a new input or being a Yokai Shift skill, because while it fits in nicely on some weapons (for now), for others it would need to replace other options, and that makes it hard to fit in and keep consistent across weapons too. Either way it's cool as fuck.

So what's the effect on it anyway?
