Why isn't this game more popular?
Why should it be?
Required SSE4.2 or some shit. Probably filtered a lot of people
ebin games store
it was EGS which is sort of like releasing a game without launching it. it's also not very good, and I'm a big remedy fan. I liked the story just fine but the gameplay is 90% magdumping on bullet sponge copy pasted shadowmen who aren't satisfying to kill at all and then using the autoaim telekinesis to stomp them, which is fun but a shallow gimmick. the metroidvania elements are utter dogshit that feel half-baked and it's overall a really clumsy inclusion of all these ubisoft open world gimmicks for no reason at all. the astral plane stuff was also as equally grey and soulless as the office stuff so overall the game has a really bland aesthetic that never surprises you and I spent the entire game waiting to go anywhere besides another shiny corridor or black void. like all recent remedy games it feels like a ton of great ideas and potential that can't shoulder the weight of budget, publisher demands, and the limits of cutting edge technology.
Her face
What said. It comes out on Steam in a few weeks so it'll finally get more attention.
While the game is fun, the MC is really ugly which detracts from playing. I had the same issue trying to play Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone.
you are the 1% then
>Epic games exclusive
>looks boring as fuck to play
>they turned Courtney Hope's face into a Lovecraftian monster
This is Control. Say something nice about her.
It was boring as fuck.
simp detected
it's the worst game made by Remedy by a LOOONG fucking shot.
it has cool ideas, like it having a story being a straight ripoff of the SCP mythos, but fails absolutelyfucking FLAT on almost every other level.
>the gameplay is generic
>the enemies are generic grunts
>the MC is unlikable
>the story is a convoluted mess is the worst way possible
the last good Remedy game were the Alan Wake ones.
not worth giving my computer to chink miners to play
is the story/graphics worth getting it for?
I've been playing old games lately, havent seen any good graphics to push my system in awhile.
Because it's not VR and you can't make "I'm in Control" jokes.
Waiting for the Steam release
- it has kind of a bad title
- it looks like shit in screenshots
- the way combat works sounds dumb
- the concept sounds like some scp-grade slenderman redditor meme faggotry
it actually rules though, I'm glad I ran out of things to play that week
the worst thing about it is that it has a big puzzle in it that the fanbase is too retarded to solve (or even notice) which makes it frustrating to talk about
Because it's difficult to pronounce and spell CONГROL
I have it a chance for a few hours. The combat is just very boring, and it doesn't improve.
Looking forward to the steam release so I can replay the game with all the updates. Here's hoping the last DLC drops Soon™
I hope the last dlc isn't as lazy as the first one.
Dismissed it as Karen the Game until I picked it up on a steep discount. Cool and stylish, but the bitch's cringe inner monologues and frumpy looks keeps me from putting Nioh 2 down long enough to get into it.
I like her face but she looks a lot better in QB
She's really not that bad, the lighting is just really unflattering to her for a lot of the game. I wouldn't say she's drop-dead, but she's not ugly either.
Felt like The Foundation is just filler to keep people interested until AWE released.
i tried to like it but i was filtered by op bulletsponge enemies and shitty mission markers
I actually really liked that the chick isn't hot. And not in a SJW fugly-on-purpose political way or anything, she's just a different sort of character and I'm glad I didn't have to stop to masturbate as often as usual.
I didn't mind the combat but it's definitely one of those games where fighting is just a mechanical requirement while you go from A to B in the story. A lot of metroidvania type shit is like that, it seems. I guess it's kinda hard not to be annoyed by encounters which exist to get in your way while you're trying to go somewhere.
honestly i've no damn idea what it's about or even what type of game it is
Were any of remedy games financial blockbusters? Several got serious fan base later, but they weren't smash hits from the start
If you liked Alan Wake, you'll like Control, outside of that it's a solid, but not amazing, game that's basically if the people running SCP had some talent and made a game.
>Why isn't this game more popular?
It's made by Remedy after MP 2 which = shit.
Because it wasn't that good. Epic faggotry aside, which is a major and valid reason why no one cares mind you, the game itself is pretty boring and unremarkable. Dull story and characters, generic third person shooter with telekinesis powers gameplay (and the shooting isn't even particularly good). Alan Wake and Quantum Break were both better. This game just has raytracing and nice environmental destruction going for it.
>Were any of remedy games financial blockbusters?
First Max Payne, but then somehow after it every game sold like shit.
I think Sam Lake getting writing lessons was a bad mistake.
They make games that are cult classics.
