I'm confused why people like to pretend Sony games in general have bad gameplay, when Nintendo combat is always significantly worse.

So. Fucking. True. This and most of the media being biased towards Sony, giving them undeserving 10/10s is the reason behind this shit.

Spiderman is just bamham with easier combat. Gow is a movie game that ends up shitting on the previous entries' style and combat. Tsushima is again a bamham clone with a progressive "muh womenz are the most powerful warriors" style of movie game, and again, shit combat. Even the new Samurai Jack game coming up looks to have way better combat.

The reality is most of these exclusive ps4 games have done nothing except have a movie like experience. This ain't video games. The game play they provide is nothing new, and complete shit compared to where they got it from. You play em once and you never play them again. That's not 10/10.

This game reminds me of the idiots here talking about God Hand like they described one game and when I played it I got something completely different. Like people here were swearing this wasn't an open world collect a thon with Batman like fights and that is all it was. We really need to enforce the 18+ rule better than we do now.

The issue here is that I agree with OP in that these Sony exclusives (like Spiderman) are overrated. You might disagree with that and that's all there is to it.

Now, as to how the games are bad. Spiderman has excelled in presentation and the swinging. Though a lot of people would agree that it feels slow compared to SM2. That aside, the combat is not that challenging, and doesn't provide anything exciting outside the use of gadgets which are for the most part horribly overpowered for most enemies. These are my reasons. If you just play the game once you won't really care about most of these points. You will just enjoy the presentation, which I must say is well done, and once the credits roll you'll move into another game.

This, however, is not fair to games that do have a better, balanced, innovative and more exciting combat. That makes you want to go back to experience it. In my opinion NGB/NG2 are the only games to provide that feelings as far as action games go. Some people might say it's unbalanced but honestly, if you practice, you'll find that it is very much balanced and challenging. I would agree that the Arkham games feel more solid than Spiderman, but again don't provide as much of a challenge as far as action games go.

Most Sony exclusives fall into this same critique, very well presented but very safe, non innovative and lazy decisions as to how to challenge the player. The only exception is Bloodborne, which of course is the only true exclusive worth trying out if you are a fan of the souls games.

There was supposed to be a pikes peak in the game but those lazy fucking japs held it back for gran turismo 7
