Why are PC gamers all talk but never support the little guy?

>16k wishlists
>Demo was played by 80k ppl
>Translated into multiple langauges
>Cheap price
>Sold a total of only 357 copies, 178 of which were from the 16k wishlists

Look like it's from 2010, slow as fuck, 5/10 wouldn't even pirate.

>game is generic shit
>nobody buys it
wow i wonder

Are these people just completely oblivious to the fact that they are in a competitive market? It's not just about whether your game sucks or not. It's about whether it's worth playing over all the other games out there. Clearly, it wasn't.

I find it very interesting that this kind of person also has shitty political opinions.
They simply can't fathom a world where people don't think and act exactly as they do.

Yeah but why would so many people put a game on their wishlist that they have no intention of buying?

I add games to my wishlist just so I can remember what to pirate later. Suck it, indie fags.

because PC gamers are a hive mind like the hacker known as Zig Forums

lyl are you me

To keep an eye on it and decide at a later date whether it's something they want to actually buy.

i do that all the time
just to not forget about it

I put 'em on there so I can remember them in the future.

I currently only play Metal Gear Rising and have like 100 games wishlisted and I'm not going to buy a single thing.
Except for 5D Chess with my chess bro and Crash Team Racing.

So I can remember it exists when I buy it a year later at 50%+ off. Very few games justify their full perceived price.

I'm sure they do, when its $2 during a steam sale.

357 sales is good for a platformer desu

On a wishlist doesn't mean "I'm going to buy it day one!" It doesn't even mean "I'm going to buy it someday." It just means "Eh... Maybe..."

>2D indie platformer
That's like releasing a Battle Royale game and then complaining it didn't gain any traction. The market is massively over-saturated, you have to do a lot to stand out from the crowd, even to get any attention at all.
I hadn't heard of this game until now, and it doesn't interest me.
I use my Steam wishlist to bookmark games I might be interested in buying if they go on sale, because Steam's storefront is an absolute trashfire disaster where I'll be lucky to find anything while browsing.

Not buying your game, retard. Go shill your failure somewhere else.

game simply looks uninteresting.

Pricing. Why are you asking questions that can be answered with common sense?

Indie developers putting too much stock in getting wishlist like its any indication of anything. Someone adding your game to their wishlist isn't a potential customer, it's just someone who has seen so many games they couldn't remember them all if they didn't have a list of them.

You see the the thing about a wishlist is it takes no effort or investment to do. You press a button and move on.

Because it's possible to put something on a wishlist with the assumption that it will be a certain price, then it comes out and is much more expensive.
Indie devs should try not charging £10 for something that a decade ago you would have played for free on a browser on somewhere like miniclip

>optimal 50%
are indie devs really this delusional?
this must be where the "piracy kills games" come from

Game looks janky
>$12
People obviously put it on their wishlist to get it cheaper/check it out later if it improves

same

>Babbys first overpriced floatly platformer with physics puzzles #43454
How could I have missed this masterpiece.

Frankly they're lucky that even a single person bought this shit, they're completely delusional.

how do you do fellow bots?

It's not even his second thread. This fag has been posting about this same 2010 looking indie game for at lease a week and a half.

a) your game doesn't look like it's worth 13 bucks senpai
check out other games at 13$ and tell me why the fuck would anyone want to buy your game over games like binding of isaac or hotline miami or katana zero or even fucking terraria

your game doesn't look exceptional, it's not horrible mind you, it just seems pretty bland? what's so special about it? what's the big seller?
it just looks like your average platformer, but that means worse than a lot of platformers you can get for the same price (that are EXTREMELY good, mind you, it's not completely your fault here)

b) not sure if you're aware, but there's some kind of pandemic going on, it's been going on for a long time and depending on where you live, it means your entire life went down the drain, especially in some places in the US
do you think people in such conditions feel like spending thirteen bucks for a game like yours?

c) PR disaster that I am not aware of happened
did you guys say something on social medias that disgruntled players maybe?
maybe you guys attacked a youtube channel because they didn't like your game or something stupid like that, who the hell knows

there are probably more reasons to it too, just my two cents here

oh and;
d) a fair amount of players that put shit in their wishlist don't actually buy the game instantly (or ever even) and just wait for the game to go on sales to buy it or simply put it in the wishlist to remember about it so they remember to crack it later

>Ok I am not a "Gamer" In fact I am a grannie, but I have some skills :-)
fucking state of steam comments

>make shit game that nobody in their right mind would pay full price for after the shitty demo
>woooow why isnt my shit overpriced game selling
shocker op, i know
