The boss themes in both the original and GBA port make me want to imagine of ridiculous platformer boss fights. Also, I find it goofy how "spooky" the trees theme is in the SNES version.

My older siblings had DKC 1 and 2, but I had DKC 3 so I played it the most. I'm wicked nostalgic for it and it's been my favorite for a long time, but it is definitely nowhere near as good as 2. I think it's because they went more puzzle platformer with it. Remember Squeels on Wheels? You had to kill so many rats to open a door.

I liked the last two games how you could beat the game but if you really did well you could get access to a difficult and optional world with the true ending. Wish more games did this today.

Liked the gameplay, but I hate Kiddy Kong. I don't care what bullshit any media creator gives, babies are lame. Babies are annoying. And I hated video game babies since Mario's annoying crying in Yoshi's Island that made me want to break his neck. Also to HELL with the babies in Mario Kart.
The only piece of media that has babies that's tolerable is Rugrats because the babies don't act like babies and then they added the character Dil whose shtick is truly acting like an annoying baby so he was a horrible nuisance.

3 feels the weakest but to say it's straight up bad is wrong. Kiddy is no Diddy replacement, the aesthetic isn't as good, and some of the bosses are pure gimmicks, but it's still fun to play.
