1 and three are fun, two is shittier than you remember except for the online

I love it. R3 was the half life 3 we deserved.

R3 should get a remaster/PC port. It's very good. The other two are okay.

One of the few games that made having a PS4 worthwhile. Worth one playthrough.

1 is still an incredibly fun shooter. Great weapons, memorable locations and enemies. No need for ADS either you can just hipfire blast the shit out of everything.

2 is just as much a letdown now as it was then, just dull and adopted the boring 2 guns, health regen nonsense.

3 is a masterpiece. Incredibly dark too especially towards the end.

The PSP game was fun but I cant really remember a lot about it.

The Vita game Burning Skies was terrible.

1 and 2 were untapped potential. An interesting premise and setting, and I liked the idea of fighting a losing battle that kept getting worse and worse, but it just never really lived up to it. They felt really rushed and unpolished. 3 on the other hand was fantastic, and it's a serious shame that the series died right as it was starting to get good. It always felt like it was overshadowed by Killzone at Sony.

only played the psp game, it was good

There was some sort of background plot being built up through the first 3 about a secret group. The first game had a few scattered corpses playing morse code that translated into cryptic messages. Did anything ever happen wit them?

It's been a while since I read it but I thought the second tie-in novel (about Capelli between R2 and R3) was pretty good
Apparently his wife in R3 is actually Nathan Hale's sister, who he meets in the book. Don't think that's even mentioned in the game.

better than Halo which is not saying much

Games good, trying to play shooters with a controller bad

BASED BASED BASED

KB/M is better but if you have any actual difficulty using a controller for shooters you have literal brain damage

it had its kino moments
the story went full retard at the end of 2, but overall it was a very good experience

I'll never forget looking around some level and finding that house with a couple of adult and a kid's skeleton hugging on a bed with an opened box of pills right next to them

never got to play the third game though

1 and 3 were great, didn't play the second.

the first one was good.
i heard the second game had a dogshit campaign so i didnt buy it.
i heard 3 was pretty good.

They were great. 3rd was amazing. Snoy really went downhill with ps4

Would a Killzone & Resistance crossover work?

generic brown console FPS

i dont remember much about the series but i can recall having a blast with all 3 games. my favorite gun was the one that you could put up walls with and shoot through them

Like, in terms of story? No, if they shared a universe then the Chimera are long gone before the Helghast even exist. It's like a 200 year time difference.

I had a few FPS games on PS3 and R3 was the only one I felt compelled to beat the campaign mode on

Remaster / Port when??

I can get through console shooters, but I desperately want Resistance, Killzone, TLOU1 and hell even Uncharted ports just because being able to click heads would make the games feel that much better. Especially UC4, which has a bunch of opportunities for swinging rope moves that you'd need to be a stick god to actually pull off most of the time. Also IIRC Resistance 3's performance could get pretty bad.

I was addicted to the online co-op for at least a year.

Didn't R1 have like 80 player MP Deathmatch?

Completely and utterly forgettable

The Chimera did nothing wrong.

why did sony abandon all their FPS franchises? why did we never get a true next gen killzone or resistance?

Haven't played Killzone Shadow Fall, why is it not a "true" Killzone?

I believe it started as a PS3 title, bumped up to PS4.

R1 combat was fun. You could shoot bits of armour off the Chimera, and shoot the tubes on their backs causing them to suffocate etc.

R2 removed all this.

Resistance 2 had 30vs30 players in some game modes if i remember right. It was very rare for consoles at the time but still never had a chance against Halo 3 and CoD 4

sony pretty much dumped everything they pooped out on the 2nd half of the console's lifetime

I've got a ton of nostalgia for Fall of Man, even though I don't think it's a particulaly great game, and I don't even think that I've ever actually finished it. I think it's mostly residual nostalgia for that period in my life.

I played 2 once, dropped it about midway through, and played Gears 2 instead.

3 is a genuinely fantastic campaign.

They dumped Starhawk, MAG and Twisted Metal even when those got good reviews when PS4 versions would have massively helped the consoles first year. Sony aren't the brightest at making sustainable multiplayer IP. TLOU Factions 2 is probably just going to be P2W like the last one.
