I find it hard to imagine having absolutely no friends unless you are jobless or work a job where you are on your own the whole day.

I am the biggest sperg ever but when you work with people nearly every day its hard not to form bonds. Talk about work, family, interests / hobbies and education / background.
Avoid topics like religion / politics / bad mouthing others.
Also just be yourself, even if you think your not that interesting. We have a guy at work with a cool / chill persona and is quite confident, but nobody really likes him because its not genuine and his facacde often breaks. People cn tell if you are being yourself, and even if it doesnt seem that great, people appreciate people who are genuine.

Some of us are Schizoids and feel no compulsion whatsoever to socialize. The problem is a lot of loners label themselves as schizoids as a coping mechanism for having horrible interpersonal skills. They tell themselves "I didn't want friends anyway! Hah!" but deep down they feel empty and unfulfilled.

True Schizoids are perfectly content without any friends or romantic partners, but they are very, very rare. You certainly don't see them making whiny, self-pitying threads about their sad lives on a video game discussion board.

i wish i could afford vr. i know a lot of people say it sucks but i'm still fascinated by it and think it has potential. would love to play some classic pc games in vr. maybe it would make being a disabled shut-in less stressful.

if you run into someone cool in an online game, add them to your friends list, and tell them you'd like to play together again sometime. They might invite you to play with other friends later on down the line, or you can invite them the next time you play, and form a crew. I do it with TF2, but it should work with pretty much any online game that isn't competitive cancer like OW or MOBAs
As for your question, I'd recommend deep rock galactic, but maybe go outside for a walk at some point in the day if you don't live somewhere too sparsely populated. Maybe go on a hike for a few hours. Nature will make you feel better.
