>That quest inside All Food Factory, with the Maelstrom gang, Dum Dum and Royce, which you were playing through, offers 12 different paths and those paths vary in terms of length. Depending on your chosen path, the quest will have a different length and because of that it's hard to answer this question.

Honestly don't understand why Zig Forums is so assblasted about this game, the devs seem like they really care and are improving on their previous game.

If the main story is this branching and your choice isnt just a cosmetic fluff then Im okay with them removing features like wallrunning. I hate how linear quests are in the Witcher 3

This

this game gona be epic

The article in the OP has a dev interview where they said that because many people thought the witcher 3's story was too long and drawn out, they shortened the main story in favor of adding more detail/choices and options in sidequests.

They also revamped witcher vision (braindance) and redesigned their open world style so it's not just a bunch of question marks. The devs in interviews openly talk about the faults/common criticisms for TW3 and how they worked to do better on this game.

Zig Forums is a bunch of fucking children.

No one complained about that

People complained the main story was too long?

You can look at the stats on how many people finished the main story for yourself.

>hey do this quest
>no I don't want to
that's an ending

>NOOOOOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T SKIP A QUEST THAT WE WORKED HARD ON PLEASE APPRECIATE OUR WORK AND PLAY IT ANYWAYS

>there are only 12 quests
lel

That doesn't mean that a majority of people complained it was too long

I can't wait to see the traditionally riveting CDPR gameplay experience coursing through all twelve of these endings bros it's going to be kino

Why are all the redditors in that thread schlicking to vaporware?

A majority of people didn't complete it. That's enough.

Cdpr doesnt give a fuck about those players

He is misinterpreting what was said. Miles was talking about how you feel like the game should end at the Kaer Moren battle but it instead limps along into an additional act, and he isn't wrong. Everyone says (rightfully so) that the main quests of B&W and HoS are far and away better than the base game's main story even though they are only a third as long each. They also prove (IMO) that bigger doesn't mean better. Toussaint is smaller than Skellige but holy fuck is it the best looking section of the game.

Clearly they do, because they made the main quest shorter. I didn't really have a problem with the length while I was playing it, but there's definitely a lot of extraneous fat that could have been trimmed off while still maintaining the ultimate story structure.

Twelve underwritten, dissatisfying endings. Great.

Don't know what ur taking about the people who didn't finish w3/ complained aren't going to be playing this game

Remember when Todd said Fallout 3 had 300 endings?
Willing to bet the changes are going to be so minor that it doesn't matter

It's a valid complaint. There are too many worthless main quests in the lead up to finding Ciri, it makes replays much harder to sit through.

You could just read what the outcomes are.

It probably just boils down to the mentality of popular/hyped game = bad, but yeah I don't get it either. Most people are excited for it, this place is just retarded and filled with contrarians.

Improving of what? This is the first time we've had good news in a while, all they've revealed since 2018 has been tranny shit, feminist crap and removed content.

What? You actually like Ciri's missions, cleaning up rat shit with Triss, and everything past the battle of Kaer Morhen?

It's not a bad thing for a game to be long, the problem is when it's dragged over the same issue.

It's like one of those telenovels "they will kiss, they will not" and you have to wait 9 seasons for them to end up together when they should have ended up together by season 1.

>This is the first time we've had good news in a while
If you get your news on Zig Forums then maybe

I didn't finish it and I still consider it a great game

Are any non Zig Forums-tards legit getting worried about this game? In most vidya/tv where I've seen "progressive" bs it has ended with it flopping. What do you think?

What good news we've had lately besides this, please, do tell.

okay
all others mission will have different paths and consequences too?

doubt it
this probably some massive cherrypicking for marketing purposes

No, CDPR is famous for putting in missions that have only one outcome.

>paths
Not endings
