Thoughts?

>There was also an early design of a woman trapped inside a large fish-tank-like monster.
Fuck. You're telling me we could have this instead of Hachi?
Fuck! Now I think Hachi is cute enough. Especially the way he adds to the intermission animations between stages. But Hachi is still just a dog. As such I can't really deny how Hachi is the character I care about the least. I mean, cute or not Hachi doesn't have much of a character to get invested in to begin with because by the end of the day Hach is just a dog.

But here we've got what looks like an absolutely wonderful and potentially sassy mermaid being inside of an absolutely awesome looking construct serving as her vessel.
Damn. They better make use of this idea in a future game. Be it Curse of the Moon 3 or Ritual of the Night 2.

>Big tits mermaid in the water golem.

I like it.

What does the Japanese say? Did this lady have a name? I am assuming she wasn't going to be called Hachi too.

Is it me or do bloodstained franchise as a whole has pretty complicated or overdesigned monsters/characters? I don't recall this in any igavania, except for eclessia maybe. Even there bosses were mythical creatures, universal monsters, here it's just steampunk coin dude boss or some weird ass persona demon. I haven't beaten the main game yet, but is the main villain some dude with a half mask, while castlevania had conan with a whip against a dracula.
And the whole look too, curse of the moon are better cause 8 bit, but the main game looks and plays like it's made in photoshop or something.

>do
*does, i'm a euro, you know

fish bowl lady is alright but dog in a mech is way cooler

he gets about as much of a chance to show his personality as everyone else does anyway, he just shows them in barks and silence

This nigga here is the character designer for CotM and was the initial designer for RotN, be glad the franchise didn't turn out even weirder.

That's a good thing, the more standard mythological stuff is overdone, ESPECIALLY by castlevania. I don't think any of them are complicated or overdesigned - even with the limited color palettes it's easy to tell what's going on with them.

Bless this man for I love his works.

Yeah, i guess, tbqh i hate those character designs. Plant girl is pretty unique tho.
>good thing
Is it? Definitely not for me
>overdone
Maybe (not for me tho), but at least the characters should be interesting. In castlevania they are pretty simple and it's not a game about plot or anything, here it's one guy with an eye patch and a katana and shanoa but with shards and weirder design. And the demon designs are all over the place, shouldn't have been more simple, i think so at least.

*should have been more simple

Damn, mech dog isnt bad but i think aquarium mech mermaid is far more unique. Hopefully we get a cotm3 and they revisit the idea.

I think the aesthetic is fine, while it's a successor in spirit to Castlevania, it isn't at the end of the day and should have its own style. Its late 90s early 2000s Anime aesthetic works and kind of sets the series as "This is Bloodstained" like a sidegrade compared to Castlevania. The only objectively shit vania style was Dawn of Sorrow and maybe Portrait of Ruin outside of its sprite work.

It's kind of like how Megaman changed styles so drastically between classic - X - Zero - ZX - Network - Legends. I liked them all in their own way, and considering this is Inti Creates the style is right at home for me going back to their Megaman days.

>pic related
That design is kinda like nothing personel kiddo design lmao, looks like a butler guy from monhun gen ultimate but with guns. I guess it's alright, but is sooo different than castlevania. I guess if people like - it's cool, at least iga has a job and makes something different but in gameplay of castlevanias. But i really don't care for it, man. And i had high hopes for the series for myself at least.
>zero/zx
>legends
Those are still megaman series, the gameplay is different, while here the gameplay is the same but the lore, artstyle, atmosphere is completely different.

How is her DLC?

It's just a minigame you can complete in one hour or so.

But is it fun even if it's short?

I gave up on Bloodstained desu
Might give it a shot again if they ever make a true sequel, but I'd have to be convinced really hard for it.

My dick needs this so bad. Especially if she's small.

Yes, but once you figure out how to get the results you want there's no reason to ever replay it.

I think the retards should finish what they started before they start something new.

While I adore the mermaid design, they made a very smart choice going with the corgi in a mech. Normalfags love this shit. Go on any twitch stream right now and watch some COTM2 videos; they're all over Hachi. From a mass appeal angle, it was absolutely the right choice.

CotM is made by a different group of retards.

user have you been drinking bleach again?

>When designing Robert there were a few other ideas that we left on the cutting room floor, such as “a demon has corrupted his body,” and “the human form of the boss Bathin from the previous game.”

I thought that nigger reminded me of the lightning demon.

WE GOT FUCKING ROBBED

There a download link to CotM2

I wanna marry that mermaid!

You're telling me we could have had a cute fish girl? This sucks, man.

Robert looks fuckawful in the concept art, it really goes to show how classing up a design a little can go a long way.

>in rotn2 you learn to swim thanks to a shard that transforms miriam into a miriam-version of this
Imagine.
