It has finally been surpassed by Star Citizen for Greatest Blunder In Gaming.
No Man's Sky is still far shittier
Biggest disappointment of all time.
NMS redeemed itself. Star Citizen is literally a scam.
It is a bad game, but at least it allowed for some funny user creations ten years ago.
More like snore lmao
NMS actually put in a decent amount of effort to stop being a complete and utter blunder, not that post-tortanic Zig Forums gives a single shit about anything positive happening.
missed potential: the game
it's a good and fun game despite it not being what was expected and there is still no other game even close to being anything like it
It was a good game and it deserves a sequel.
Great game despite the bullshit amount of cut content, objectively and undeniably speaking
Every creature walks like a marionette instead of a creature like the 2005 build. The game really got dumbed down before release.
Darkspore already existed.
Space stage is kino
Never bothered to get that far.
After the crap tribe stage, and that vehicle and building fiasco
One of the best games of all time
Loved it. then again I was 10 when It came out. Probably 15 when I actually played it through.
Even now it has no successor in its field.
DLCs are trash.
It would never be good. Those old alpha videos weren't looking any better. Adding water stage or better cell editor would change nothing. Game had bad design from the start.
Stellaris somewhat fills niche for space stage but it's Stellaris.
I quite liked it but it shure as hell isn't what was promised. It lacked any depth for half the game and was fun but shallow the other half. Tribe and civ should have been reworked entirely or scrapped, cell is a bit barebones but it's more or less a tutorial for creature stage so I'm fine with it. Creature stage was great fun but there wasn't enough to do and space stage was real good but it turned into tedious micromanagement partway through, and it also lacked things to do.
>Galactic Adventures
>trash
what did he mean by this
I was born in a small african village.
I deserted from my Rape Squad and fled to a place with internet after 2008, so I didn't know what it was meant to be before it was shafted.
It was a solid game, coming from a malnourished african child who didn't have much hype for it.
Shame it always crashed on the space stage.
it wasn't trash, but it wasn't exceptionally good either
I mean its awful and does nothing for the practical game. Creepy and cute is moddb tier DLC that just ruins creature stage balance.
t. hasn't played or seen footage of the game since 2016
I'm mad that mods still haven't fixed this game. I wish the source code for Spore got leaked or some shit, then we could make this game the masterpiece it deserved to be.
I have, still sucks
The mythical 2005 tech demo build looked almost exactly like the final game and nobody will admit it because they can't possibly be wrong about it being a disappointment
This. No Man's Sky is still a boring piece of shit but gets praise because it got...*drumroll* a fucking update.
The tech demo doesn't look superior in any ways bar Aquatic stage honestly. Everything else looks superior in the final release of the game
Pretty comfy game but completely fallas apart near end game. Also, evolution is retarded
I really wish it was more serious and not a kids game they made it into.
I hope they make another one someday or someone else does and does it with a serious tone.
the gameplay is still boring shit
not that user, but I just played 10 hours of NMS last week. Pirated so no *multiplayer*
Its awful.
The very first thing I thought was that the terrain gen was worse than spores.
The game runs the same on max settings and minimum. 100% gpu usage even when looking at the ground.
The visual clutter with awful hud and forced vignette+chromaticaberation is just fowl.
Creatures are just uninspired blobs. Literally spores creature creator with a randomise button.
Vehicles handle awfully and serve no purpose.
Base building is ok though.
Marked the beginning of the era of shitty DRM
