>Little to no HDR
Nah.

Is the difference between 60hz and 144hz really noticeable?

I played on a VA panel once, I got such a fucking headache I immediately sold it back. TN panels are better than this garbage.

Not really, well for me at least, the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps is like 100% and difference between 60 and 120 is like 10%.
Unless you play CS GO on a pro lvl its a useless gimmick imo.
I play on lg oled tv.

You sound like one of those retards who hasn't enabled anything above 60 fps in windows and complains that a higher refreshrate doesn't do anything.

What should I connect my monitor with? It has HDMI, DVI and VGA.

>VA
oh dear

I have a frame limiter bound to my home key in most of my games that toggles between locked 60 and unlocked whenever I know I'll get more than 60. sometimes I toy with it like between deaths in an FPS, trying to play at 60 and going back to 144 is like going from 24 to 60 for the first time. you'll see 144+ once and be spoiled on it

>four hundred and thirty two dollars, and fifty six cents, plus GST for only 27 inches.

thats a yikes from me

your eyes are physically broken if you don’t notice the difference.

>VA
dropped.

it blows my mind when people say shit like this because even just messing around on my desktop feels way smoother and faster with 144hz

Stop being poor and get an IPS monitor.

Certainly will notice a difference, whether it immediately improves your overall quality/experience is another thing though. Going back from 144hz to 60hz though? Hits like a truck, I have the constant comparison by using a 60hz 2nd monitor and the apparent stuttery mouse movement alone gives me a headache whenever I do stuff on it.

>Stop being poor
nobody can be a rich indian kid like yourself

It's a completely different experience.

Most retards who say "NO IT DOESN'T MATTER" are too retarded to change the system hz from 60 to 120.

Once you go 120 you will never go back.

lol this thing has gotten so inflated

Wasn't this like 550 bucks at launch?

I got a 1440p display, 144hz, all that jazz. Was playing Doom Eternal at 144FPS from having played Doom(2016) at around 60fps, 60hz, in 1080p. I only really notice a difference when stuff dips under 60 frames or is at 30. Anything above 60 might as well not exist for me.

For refresh rate, I can notice the difference when going down to 60 from 144 but I don't know, doesn't seem to bug me as much as other people I guess. Its just stuff that I don't actively notice or care much for. I usually go back and forth between my computer and my folks computer, and unless I'm looking for it, I won't notice the change.

It's Australian prices, like the OP.

>freesync

no thanks, fuck that flicker fest garbitch.

what is VA PCbros im a consolefag that just knows how to plug and play

You're right my bad
It did spike in price earlier in the year but now its sitting just below $500

I have a work laptop that does 120hz and even having never gamed on it I can tell that 120hz is so much smoother

It's night and day. Even on the desktop alone the difference is insanely clear. I bought a 120hz monitor back in 2012 and brought it to a local lan. I had people waiting in a line just to try out moving the mouse on the desktop since it was that much of a difference.

>I usually go back and forth between my computer and my folks computer, and unless I'm looking for it, I won't notice the change.
Get your eyes tested, stay off the roads.

Isn't 1440p a meme anyway?

what does that even mean

I had my doubts but I got a 144hz monitor this year and going back to 60hz for anything literally looks choppy now unless I apply a ton of motion blur and slow my mouse speed for smoother camera panning.

Like I have to treat 60fps the way console devs treat 30fps and use tricks just to make it look okay now, it's fucking crazy how quickly you get used to 144fps if given the chance.

>Get your eyes tested, stay off the roads.
My eyesight is fine, like I said, its not something that I actively look for anything I look at a display. I don't go "ew 60hz, my eyes!" every time I see one. I don't think about it so it doesn't bother me.

reading this I'd rather just stay on 60hz

Well, compared to 1080p. I've seen conflicting things on the topic.

It's a panel technology for displays. Quick rundown:
>TN panels:
cheap, least input lag, little motion blur
>IPS panels:
most expensive, more input lag (isn't really noticeable), best colors and viewing angle
>VA:
cheap, good colors, good contrast, most have a terrible blur/smear when you look around fast in a game

you have more pixels
there's nothing more straightforward than that

it's a panel type
the main ones are TN, IPS and VA
TN = mediocre colors, fast response time, cheap
IPS = good colors, slightly slower response time, expensive, has backlight bleed and doesn't display black well
VA = good colors, slower response time than TN but sometimes not as slow as IPS, fairly cheap compared to IPS

the problem with VA is there's pixel smearing which makes moving images look like shit, TN and IPS monitors are safer bets usually

i have two of these 144hz ips badboys- amazon.co.uk/AOC-24G2U-BK-Widescreen-Multimedia/dp/B07Y3RYLVH

i finally upgraded from 1680x1050 to 1920x1080 a little while back
i'm liking it

you also forgot that TN panels mostly have garbage gamma & viewing angles and causes images to look super washed the fuck out & color banding. TN's are mainly for high FPS games anyway so like CSGO for example you don't notice it but for like watching a movie or some shit it's fucking terrible

Yeah, but is it even noticeable? Some say it's like the second coming and other are like "ehh" basically.

nigga ur retarded

it's nothing revolutionary
you can see things more clearly in video games
if you want to run 1440p 144hz at Ultra though you best take out a loan

>1920x1080

Screenlets, please go.

lmao @ your life
