Star citizen is not a scam is a cult

From what I see in their videos, is pretty clear Star citizen is not a scam, but is a cult.

I think cris roberts is honest in his dream, and he's pretty honest he's trying to make the game a reality, so is not technically a scam, because he's not really a con artist (at least I still believe this isn't a scam).

This is more like a religious cult.
This retard is a dumb retarded ideas guy with giant unrealistic dreams, that are technologically impossible for an AAA team.
He promised something that in his mind, and what the whales imagine, will cost alone, that promised, like the whales have in their mind.

IT WILL COST JUST ON DEVELOPER WAGES, AS THE WHALES HAVE IMAGINED IN THEIR MIND AND HOW CRIS PROMISED.
WILL COST:
24 BILLION DOLLARS (I SAID THE B WORD).

As the whales imagine and how he promised, will cost 200 million dollars per month, to be finished on 8 years of development.

So, no, he lacks the resources to make the games as the whales imagine on something as basic as the 100 star system promise.

And this retard keeps and keeps making retarded feature creep ideas, which increases the development costs, I don't have a fucking clue on the total ideas he promised, which I think as how the whales imagine will clearly cost a couple more Billion dollars.

So, no, this shit is like a giant center of the galaxy black hole of development resources.
I think only like maybe 2-3 countries right now could afford to make his game with something closer to fucking NASA in terms of money and manpower.

And this shit is being made on a fucking FPS single player engine.
So, no, this is why he has struggled 8 years on something as basic as the netcode.
Because the retard is making a massive MMO on a fucking FPS single player engine.
This is why the game is a giant pile of shit and runs like crap, because the engine is clearly not designed for his stupid idea

Everything made so far, has to be SCRAPPED and being remade from 0 in a MMO engine

So, this is not a scam, but a cult

HAHAHAHAHAHAH

>that are technologically impossible for an AAA team
Nothing he wants is impossible.
The team is just inept.

No, but is impossible for his resources.

This guy needs something like real life NASA to be able to make the game as he promised it to whales.

>No, but is impossible for his resources.
Wrong. 300 million could make any game.
>This guy needs something like real life NASA to be able to make the game as he promised it to whales.
No. He doesn't.
His plan isn't even that big.
Like I said, his team is just inept.

Did you just pull a random number out of your ass and then hinge the rest of your post claiming that CryEngine can't do MMOs while there are already like five MMOs that run on it?

nice

Well, I say they're inept, but afaik CR is guilty of monumental micro-management.
The fact that they're up to planet tech V4, but still can't make ships take off properly should tell you all you need about his retarded management.

I'd like you to describe what his idea is.
I'm not sure you understand the scope of this project.

Why do you need to make a thread per day though? Pretty sure the point's been made.

take your meds schizo

Go be video game journalist somewhere else. We already know this game will never be finished, there's no point making these threads frequently.

I don't know about that, but your retarded connection between visual production and an old gameplay bug tells me about your retarded logic. There is plenty to rag on that does have logical connections.

No, is not what the "whales" imagine in their minds.
Again, is basic math based on the development of what he has gotten so far, and basic shit like the quality he promised, and how the whales imagine.
Multiply that shit by how much workers It would need that single promise by the average wage of california.

It's basic math.
I would do a diferent calculation if the situation was diferent, the location of his worker were diferent, and the development speed was diferent.

yeah, but they're not lead by Cris, which is a retarded idea guy.

Fuck you man, I wanna laugh.
This is a clusterfuck that will end with the Feds involved.

One thread per day is great desu
Imagine if they were like smash fags or that one 2077 autist making threads on the hour.

>I'd like you to describe what his idea is.
Eve online meets No Man's Sky meets The Sims.
>I'm not sure you understand the scope of this project.
I understand it fine. I understand that it'll never meet the description I just gave.
The funny thing is, most SC retards think it's going to be a sprawling space exploration/combat/life sim, when it's already clear it's not going to achieve that.
Example: the Carrack. People were chomping at the bit for this. Why? Because they what what it represents: space exploration. The thing is, the game is based in preconstructed star systems? Why were they all so eager for a ship that will only be able to explore fully explored star systems?

Yes the money was poorly managed and wasted at times. But it is still plausible the game will come out and be decent.

I dont think you made any calculation.

>FOUR iterations of planet environment
>ZERO time spent fixing core system issues
Yeah, you're the retard here, retard.

Do the math retard.

500 employees per team * 100 teams working on each star system * 5k average gamedev salary per month (2020 california wages) * 8 years of development (because it took him 8 years to make a single star system).

Gives 24 Billion dollars.

Again, is what HE PROMISED and what THE WHALES IMAGINE the end game will be.

>500 employees per team * 100 teams working on each star system
You think there's 50, 000 people working on this game?

>ZERO time spent fixing core system issues
Do you have a single proof of this?
Because I can easily list multiple dev teams working on core system issues and the progress they made throughout time.

this "game" will never ever be released it way more profitable to keep the way it is, i swear you will hear stories 50 years from now how people have inherited a key to this game because their grandpa backed the kickstarter, it will also have the biggest lawsuit the world will ever see, you can mark my words.

Attached: 1595523275806.png (376x438, 265.26K)

Do you think he can keep development of the game during 800 years?

8 years his team took to make a single star system * 100 star systems = 800 years on his team working alone.

The only realistic way he can finish if we use the results of his studio so far, is he makes 100 teams working on each star systems at the same time, and based on his track record so far, even with 100 teams, it will take him 8 years more of development.

>Can't consistently refuel/repair/rearm your ship.
>can't take off freelancer MAX without feet getting stuck in ground
The game is 12 years old, fucko, and they still don't have working core systems.

>baseless assumption is the correct answer
>more accurate description is wrong because it will never happen

I think OP is way off with his 10s of billions assessment, but you saying the game can be done with the money they have, while dismissing the actual scope of the project makes you look silly. You don't have an actual argument.

You == delusional

The cult has arrived.

my calculations are based on what cris has been able to make.

I'm assuming he wont be able to improve 50% his development speed.
Even if he improves 50% his studio productivity that means his game will only have 2 star systems in 2024.

Even the most realistic whales are expecting 10 star systems.
The most optimal calculation, gives 2 star systems by 2024.

Fuck you are retarded. Are you taking R&D into account at all? Do you think all systems will take the same amount of time to develop? They arent even all the same size. Your math only works if you ignore this as well as any unseen setbacks and the actual development of currently non-existent tech. It's like your applying Game Dev Simulator logic to real life.

Realistically what is there even to do in the game? You can travel in a space ship to a planet and deliver a box that makes your ship fly away and blow up into the mountainside. You are playing a shell of a game.
