When I was younger but for the most part it was the images attached to the story that spooked me rather then the stories themselves.

Jeff the killer when I was a kid. Reason for this is because I always sleep next to the window and worried that he might appear whenever I open my eyes.

Being real here ignoring the mountain of bad pasta there are some legit amazing creepypastas

I’m a search and rescue officer and Penpal come to mind as really great internet horror stories

It's usually the ones with a spooky image accompanying it, I was too spergy to really 'get' the stories.
For example, when I stopped being spooked by that 'I AM GOD' sanic image, I was no longer spooked and even started seeing the story of sonic.exe as the shitfest it was.

Is Ben drowned still good?

There's one that is pretty damn spooky but I can't find it anymore. It was called "The Thing on The Roof" which was about a strange entity that spies on you when you're not looking, hiding on the other side of the roof. It always gets out of sight when someone turns to look at it.

ben drowned came back

Back around 2010 seeing the Jeff image for the first time with the 'GO TO SLEEP' caption made me jump real hard. The story is really bad however

i'm not a pussy american.

The only ones that scared me were Jeff the killer, smile dog, and the Russian sleep experiment. And that was only because of the pictures associated with them, not the actual story

ted the caver

does dogscape count as "creepy pasta"? I know its not creepy but I really like it as a story/setting

CJ's mom scared me later i would exit CJ's house as fast as i could so she doesnt catch me.

This pretty much

Penpal is amazing. Always found Body Farm by Brain Martinez & the one about the guy refusing to open his eyes as great (Forgot the name.)
As a kid, I was a huge pussy for horror content so I'd also be wimp. Were talking nightmares after the matrix 1 & being spooked from martin mysteries. I think my 1st real push was one of those old ass Tats tops list videos? I had up that point never experienced that type of content & had to funnily enough sleep with the lights on for the 1st time in years.

After that it was a huge joy of scrambling all over the internet/YT looking for horror stories. Can honestly say that was the spark for my love of horror works. Currently? Not much outside of some /kx/ stories when their semi believable (The Compound & Goat Girl come to mind) most good creepypastas are hard to come by (Either from me growing up or just bad writers?) I do have an unironic love for SCP but that is purely on a creative level on both ends. (Obviously avoiding the community ON the site like the plague)

If I interviewed the creator and had him give his thoughts in creepypasta over the last decade, would anyone be interested if I link it in these type of threads soon?

It's way too fucking overplayed and lost any mystery/charm

sure

To add to this it's been 5 + years & I can still recommend the Pyramid series when people were promoting the movie.
S O U L
By all means, are you referring to the girl who original created the photo or the the author? I'd imagine both would be hard to find.

nobody lived in flat number six

Dogsscape counts
As long as it’s an online horror story it counts
I also really enjoyed that one. The world building was great for such a weird concept

Cool, will do, and the author of the videos, KING KONG included.

Sure. Could be a fun read
Personally I would interview the guy who made candle cove or slender man I’m sure there takes would be interesting

was this one ironic?

Neat, I'll keep your channel in mind.

I thought I had seen it all then someone recommended the pancake family and dogs don’t talk. Spooks for fucking days

SCP is still good
I just fucking hate how they keep changing the old shit
And while there are good new SCPs a lot of the new ones are so boring
I am sick of ever SCP being 50 pages long
No one has time for that shit

Don't have a channel, or any social media really. I'm an upcoming author who grew up on the internet, so I want to archive how this art form developed too. I'll publish the interview on a bigger site and link here in as many of these threads I'll see.

Oh absolutely there is still good content & your right on all of it. I might be in the minority by I do actually enjoy the occasional essay IF it's needed to fully explore/expand on a articles concepts. But all those problems are still going to be around when you have people like pic related still in charge or having huge amounts of clout. For example ORIGINAL SCP-3333 is still the best written article to ever be produced on the site & it would've been considered a long one.

>I am sick of ever SCP being 50 pages long
Nah i like that, reading all the details of mission logs etc. immerses me more into the world, though i do like short ones aswell

But do they ALL need to be as long as the bible? There are more long SCPs then short ones
Before I could read like 10 to 20 SCPs in one night
Now a single SCP takes a whole weekend to read
And most of it is just shitty fluff text that adds nothing
