Animal Crossing at least changed up the formula and still looks to be adding everything back and more through updates. Pokemon on the other hand is headed on a crash course to flop again after the normies no longer consider it to be the best thing because of their influencer gods and because the end of sword and shit made it evident the game was blatantly rushed and unfinished (not that normies even played past an hour because no ADHD riddled consoomer even cares to mash a through the mindless unskippable dialogue). Unless the next Pokemon game is big it will flop. It doesn't have the momentum of a first big ticket console game or the press from the controversy so regardless of its quality it will be doomed to mediocrity.
Nintendo knows when to stop, Pokemon doubles down and keeps chasing mobileshit.

Honestly I don't really mind. My gf loves nintendo stuff because it's practically the only company churning out casual fun games with a cutesy vibe, and it gives us something to do when we hang out. And then when we're apart, I can still play the usual offerings.
