Condemned

Which one do you think was better?

Criminal Origins.

why?

I like the levels a bit more. The department store, the school, and the apple orchard. One of the largest complaints I saw about Bloodshot was how in the first game, guns were a rare reward and then in Bloodshot, everyone has guns. They aren't special. Don't get me wrong, I had fun with both of them but I just like the first one more for a multitude of reasons. Bloodshot was kinda over the top with the whole bear chase was another complaint I have seen.

2nd one. I loved the locations and combat was a huge improvment. It was better in every way except the ending. It was clear they didn't know how to end it. Its a shame its stuck on consoles like The Darkness.

Playing this shit at 3 am, winter time, super immersed when suddenly... ITS A BEAR MOTHERFUCKA GET REKT

The overabundance of guns in 2 bothered me too. It was the same issue that 1 had with the taser making the game too easy. I do prefer 1's levels too but MAN the hotel in 2 was terrifying. If Condemned 1 had 2's detective work and fist combat (without the dumb QTEs) it'd be 10/10.
>Bloodshot was kinda over the top
That's saying it lightly when you consider how the story dived balls first into stupid land with the shouting power Oro cult, what the fuck ever that was.

Detective mechanics on 2 are better, but falls short on the rest

combat is better in 2

They handed out guns like candy in Bloodshot. The taser upgrade in Criminal Origins literally let you just cheese the game. The hotel in Bloodshot was quite terrifying, the level was well done. It's dirty as hell, needles everywhere, pills, it really does give you the shut down with a bunch of junkies living in it vibe. Fist combat was kinda laughable at times. The Oro Cult gets amplified to an absolute 10, it's laughable. What ever happened to the multiplayer with Bloodshot also? Heard it was interesting back in its day.

Honestly Bloodshot. Good thing its fully emulatable now.

Origins was a better introduction, but just like with the second it shits the bed with the cult shit on the apple orchard

Probably Condemned 1 but only by virtue of the fact that it takes longer before the story goes pants on head retarded in that one.

searching for Serial Killer X in the farmhouse was such a great leadup, but then you're randomly given a request from dying Vanhorn to 'stop the evil'

1

What's the best way to emulate it?

which culminates in a bossfight with some shadowy figure you've only glimpsed in hallucinations, no proper buildup or execution to an otherwise well thought out game

Up until the last moments the first game was such a well paced and methodical experience to play. It felt like crime scene escalated in violence and tension.

Bloodshot has you taking a diversion in the middle of the game to run away from a rabid bear and throw bombs through windows. Being "good" at the game rewards you with such over-powered upgrades from the very start that its worth just restarting whatever level it is your on until you Ace it. That second Holster and the stun gun are worth the time wasted by how good they are.

Yea, the first game completely falls apart at the end with the cult shit.

Also the voice acting was worse. Also changing Rosa was unnecessary. The "Alcohol" demon was laughable. God Bloodshot was shit.

A lot of choices and changes that really did not need to happen just for the sake of "changing things up."

Xenia imo.

Bloodshot is better desu. Better gameplay, better replay value, more surreal, more variety, and a really fucking fun multiplayer. I still try to get game of Crime Scene up on Xbox every now and then.

They are at their best when you are just beating thugs with your fists or makeshift weapons.
When the supernatural shit comes to the center stage you can safely turn off the game, it will only get worrse

>tfw the only game you were ever good at was condemned 2's online
>tfw #1 in the world on the multiplayer for months at release
>tfw nobody knew what I was talking about when I'd bring up the game or didn't even know it had multiplayer

Still every one of you that took bricks from a guy in a pig mask on the 360 get fucked.

I hate those goo niggers like the pest even when being easy af.

I only see one Condemned game here.

I remember the original game made me almost piss myself when I played it for the first time. Shame the second game isn't on Steam.

We definitely played against each other at one point back then. Was the only game I played for an entire month, love the multiplayer.

Thats literally when the games are at their most interesting though when you can no longer distinguish the absurdity of reality with the horror of the supernatural.

Bloodshot. I loved the doll factory and the level with the cabin and the bear chasing you. The museum level was also neat, being able to use different medieval weapons from the display

2nd game had a retarded story but had much better combat. I remember it had a really stupid upgrade where your fist had a blade coming out of your finger.
