seriously?
what the actual shit?
Seriously?
Didn't they lose all of the progress they made on the games due to a flood or stolen PCs?
Yes, that had also happened before it even got a Steam release.
This is one of those games I see the name of like once every few months over the course of many years yet have absolutely no clue what the fuck it's about.
Didn't they remove npcs in like 2014 saying they wanted to revamp them and they would be put back in soon?
>the indie equivalent of "my dog ate my homework"
have they added anything worthwhile in the past couple years to warrant pirating it again?
Basically a super in-depth zombie survival game where you can do shit like choose to eat 1/4th of a bag of potato chips instead of just eating the entire bag like most other games. The idea is there but the combat when I last played (a year ago now maybe?) was so bad I dropped it.
I have a bro who has autistic hours in this game and he told me the worst part about it is once you're good the game gets boring and predictable as shit and there really is no end game.
I usually would agree and say fuck early access but playing this with a friend was one of the most tense multiplayer experiences ive ever said. Sneaking through a town looking for a rare tool and accidentally setting off a burglar alarm is the scariest shit ever. Only buy if on big discount though.
Mods help, but the game really needs some advanced car mechanics so we can make mad max shit to plow through people
>break into house
>alarm goes off
>see a group of 10 sprinters heading my way
aaaaaa
The music is really good.
I can see the game becoming good, it's too bad there's been little to no development all this time.
>introduce beta with actual gameplay a couple of months ago
>still too retarded to implement multiplayer to it
???
I actually bought this pos on desura in 2012.
The amount of stuff I have done and that has happened in the world between now and then and they haven't even finished this crap.
>no update for almost a year
Worst thing is that it's fun.
pretty sure fortnite is in early access still.
never tried it until recently because of this and it looking a little scuffed.
yoinked it and played with the boys and it's pretty fun. zombies can manage to actually be kinda scary, which most games can't manage. it'd be sweet if they ever released the new update with multiplayer.
Shit comparison since fortnite still gets updates today. Meanwhile, Project Zombiod feels completely abandoned until years later when the devs finally add a feature.
A feature nobody cared about or asked for.
Meanwhile they have all the time in the world to purge their forums of any dissenting opinions.
Hasn't more time passed from then till now than from when they started the game to when they supposedly lost everything?
And don't forget purging all the hardwork the modders did in attempts to help to fix their game! :D
never played zomboid but reminded me of this. in this case the devs keep trying to reinvent the wheel. almost no system is left untouched when they update, and they constantly introduce features just to immediately remove them again, or completely overhaul old systems, replacing them with pure shit. they have absolutely no idea what they're doing with the game other than keeping it fresh for new customers
>computer got stolen
>didn't have ANY backups anywhere
dumb devs
no midgame
no endgame
no npcs
if you know how to survive for a bit it gets very boring very quickly
but the added a WEATHER SYSTEM!
devs are not only lazy but retarded as well
On that note what is the longest "early access" title out there?
Zomboid and 7 Days are both 2013
I bought this game when it was first available. I eventually got fed up with all their excuses and messaged the devs and demanded a refund. They sent me the money from their own personal paypal account and didn't even remove my access to the game(this was pre-steam).
is this game worth buying yet?
As a retard dumb enough to buy this back when desura was a thing, the only good thing about PZ is that it introduced me to Cataclysm DDA. The devs are woefully incompetent, and the game itself is about 10 feet wide and an inch deep. As others have said, once you get the basics down there really isn't much to do.
appreciate it user. I've been really looking for an autism simulator. This generally isn't my forte, but I get into certain moods where I really enjoy it. Maybe I'll look into euro trick sim or death stranding or something.
>mid game and end game
You can kind of simulate this through the sandbox settings by making the horde grow as time passes.
Factorio is the autism simulator
did this game end up being good? i remember constantly seeing webms for it maybe 5-6 years ago.
See
Also Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead genuinely is an excellent game in the vein of zombie survival games if you haven't checked it out. Some good tilesets out there too which make it a lot more palatable. Plenty of obnoxious mechanics to scratch the autism itch.
THE WORK OF ONE WHO CONSORTS WITH BEASTS
the game is actually pretty fun
It basically ended up being an engine for modding rather than a fully realized game in and of itself.
They are quite possibly the most incompetent indie developers off all time. They were selling it for two years before the steam release too.
still a year younger than Star Citizen
it was all bullshit and lies
