I'd justify it if they were 40 USD or something.

Nobody wanted a Wii U so people are buying the games on switch because they never played them.

Yet Wii U failed and the Switch sold 60 something million units.

who the fuck plays toad treasure tracker? the minigames were fun in 3d world because it's simple and it gives you a lot of stars but why did they make an entire fucking game just about walking and avoiding things? This is like frogger for people with down syndrome

only a faggot would

I've been saying this for fucking years.
Wii u had a small but amazing library of games. People just didn't want to shell out for one, and now that the switch is basically better Wii u, people are dick sucking the games like crazy because they never actually played them until the switch ports.
A small reminder to not let retards on Zig Forums influence how you view consoles and games.

yup it sucks. if xcx, sm 3d world and sf zero get ported the wii u becomes worthless. not like nintendoland, wii u club, kirby rainbow curse and game & wario are all that great.

spbp
Nintendo knows they can sell to Switch users as if it's a brand new game because it is to them. They can price them at $60 because people will buy them at $60.

Nintendo fucked the marketing on their own by naming it the Wii U, there wasn't as much advertisement compared to what they did with the Wii or Switch so parents just thought it was the same console as the wii

Can't you read they added the word 'Deluxe'. It's a new experience.

>tfw got a used Wii U to play all the Switch port and found all the games on OPs picture for less than $10 each
Wii U and all the Switch ports ended upbeing about the same price of 2 Switch ports.

I disagree. I have a a wii u and switch, but wii u games/ports really aren't that great.

captain toad is mediocre, retro's DK games flat out suck, w101 is mediocre, smb u is another soulless rehash, and botw is the worst zelda game besides zelda 2. mk8, bayo 2 and 3d world are good though.

Sucks for Wii U fags, great for Switch chads that never played them.

>Tropical Freeze sucks.
Kill yourself.

get some taste

>captain toad is mediocre, retro's DK games flat out suck, w101 is mediocre
Holy shit. Filtered.

These are all first and second party titles. A console lives and dies on its third party support.

90IQ spotted

The only good thing about WiiU games is that they will be more expensive in the future as collector's stuff

Most of are for people who skipped on the Wii U. MK8D, NSMBUD and P3D both have all the DLC and new content. BOTW was ported to help sell the Switch and it is the better version anyway. The other shit is basically there, as I said, for people who skipped the Wii U. I haven't personally bought any of those games twice except for Wonderful 101. I MIGHT get Pikmin 3, depends on how robust the Olimar/Louie stories are.

No one owned a Wii U so Nintendo is putting them on the Switch so more people will play them. They’re basically brand new games since they’re on a successful system, and more people will buy them.

Tropical Freeze is literally the best DKC game.

it still warms my heart to know that wonderful 101 got a port

ah, I see you too are a man of culture. tropical freeze was the best 2D platformer of that generation, hands down

>Wii U
Only some of games can be played directly on the game pad. Even then you have to be in the same room with the console for it to work.

>Switch
99% of games can be pladed on the tv or in handheld mode.

If the Wii U had the portability options like the Switch, it may have done well. Luckily the 3DS softened the sales blow otherwise Nintendo may have gone the way of SEGA.

>BOTW was ported to help sell the Switch and it is the better version anyway
It really shouldn't have been, which sucks. The Sheikah Slate was clearly designed with the Wii U gamepad in mind. Having an ever-present map or managing items with the touch screen without even pausing would have been great, with no loss of other features like gyro aiming or optional off-TV mode.

Everyone hated the Wii U, not the games on the Wii U.
Why is this hard to understand for console warriors? Too much brain damage?

Speaking of Wii U ports, I'm having a lot of trouble (ie I literally physically can't do them unless I turn the game on Easy) with specifically two button mashing segments in Wonderful 101 Remastered (the one where you need to turn a cog as Red after the duel with Blue and the final attack one). I've played the game on Wii U and had exactly zero button mashing issues. Did they specifically make those segments harder in the port, is the Switch worse at button mashing than the Wii U or did I just grow too old for video games in the past 7 years?

I really didn't mind buying Bayonetta and W101 again and I don't care much about the rest except MK8 and dong freeze maybe.

>thought we'd be getting lots of unique new IP's utilizing the unique aspects of the switch since the 2017 presentation hyped up new and exciting shit
>3 years later and its 99% wii u ports and thrown together tech demos and 3rd parties just port 8 year old ps3 games to it and call it a day
FUCK YOU NINTENDO

Nice revionism.

>newfag wasnt here for the constant "THAT SHOULD BE ON PS4" to the extent sony fags were making mockups of SM3DW on ps4

>1080p60 bad
>720p30 good

Were you one of the 20 people who had a WiiU?

Well, I wasn't.

I've been here since 2008.
The number one argument used for not buying a Wii u was that it had no games.

It had game droughts but it didnt have "no games"
It had no 3rd party titles but it had killer first party titles. If it didnt then the games wouldnt be selling multi millions on the switch day one
