I can’t lie, I felt a whole lot of nothing when I played Reverie. It’s an okay metroidvania, but I really can’t say much else about it. Just feels like a game I’ve played with nothing unique about it.

Nothing, its a good game, i guess people just expected more momodora, the 3d sprites probably drive people away, it don't has the charm of 2d ones.
The game itself also had some silly stuff at launch that was fixed later.

I've beaten all of them 100% expect minoria which I didn't even finish I use to keep up with the lore which is a huge mess and can only be found through obscure discord post and interviews and steam questions.

The developers didn't know how to make a 3D game so the controls felt floaty and the hit registration was incredibly inconsistent. The 2D Momodora games have all had incredibly tight gameplay and Minoria felt like a total mess in comparison. I dropped it after a few hours because I got fed up with it, despite the dozens and dozens of hours I've poured into each other Momodora game.

Are the older Momodora games harder than RutM? I found it pathetically easy, but the effort put in to everything else in the game kept me interested.
