As a Wii U owner the Switch is the worst Nintendo home console of all time. Half of its exclusives are ports from another console, and the other half is like the N64 library if it was a bunch of derivative 6/10 games instead of genre-defining classics.

It is a pretty good thing. Portable consoles are usually port machines, and the Wii U having its stock on other more popular console more prey to emulation development is cool by me.

They did have to change hardware architecture in some way on the Switch imo. They had been consistent for almost two decades both in the portable and desktop fronts.

I kinda get it. The best, updated versions of those games that never really got a fair shake on Wii U due to its poor lifetime. I'm not sure I'm entirely onboard, and the shaking, crying hype that some people have is cringeworthy, but fuck it I'm buying Pikmin 3 again.

I'm down with the Wii U Ports. The Wii U had a lot of really good games that people missed out on because of the no games meme. The Switch is giving them another chance to play those great games.
They don't put their A team on ports anyway. This is where they place the new employees who need to get some experience under their belt.
