I've been playing the free multiplayer weekend today through warzone and I'm having a blast. I'm actually enjoying it way more than warzone. I'm tempted to buy the full game, but I'm not sure if its worth the 60 euros considering that a new CoD should come out soonish(I think?).

Oh, I can see this being the case, I have CS:GO to autistically tryhard on PC so its refreshing to play Warzone on PS4 and just chill with friends. I have some pretty abhorrent k/d ratio in that I think, but im still enjoying it

Will there even be a new CoD for sure this year? We are nearing the end of the year and they haven't even made an announcement yet. Seems like with the huge success of MW and especially warzone they will probably hang with this one for a while
Activision Blizzard just has an earnings call for investors a few days ago and they said everything is on schedule. The game will probably be revealed Monday and then released sometime in November.

They also talked about that in the call. They said Warzone will "follow the new CoD" whatever that means. People have speculated that it means that Warzone will still run on the current engine, but they'll replace the map/models/guns/etc. to fit the new game's theme.
Nice, I like warzone, but im not huge fan of the map. Its technically alright, im enjoying the verticallity of it, but it just feels so...bland?

Fuck the updates for this game. Whatever they release I'm not buying it cause the game has a 50 GB update every month. Fucking absurd and it already takes up too much hard drive space. If devs cant figure out how to make a fucking game smaller I'm gonna just stop playing video games

It's 100% the publisher telling the devs to bloat the game as much as possible.
Devs could easily make the game 20 GB or less and feel the same but with 10x the size there is less room for other games to compete.
Yeah i know what you mean. Warzone could be great with a really varied and dynamic map. Id love a dense forest area and a slightly better designed city than downtown.

You could have an amazing map full of content but everyone would be playing at 10 fps.
The only battle royale that I've played, aside for Warzone, is Apex Legends and I quite enjoyed the maps there, at least environment-wise

I would love a mode like operations in BF1 but with limited lives/respawns per person, like maybe one or two. Would make people play more tactically than the standard re-spawn tickets for the whole team.
