>start using hatchets because I can't into 1kat and I'm trying every weapon
>tfw when they're actually great and all I heard was that they were shit
Definitely better than the sword at least
So is the multi-hit art for splitstaff worth it, or is extended damage still king?
Does Inaris elemental damage bonus work with Purity and corruption?
>nothing but samurai armor and ninja jammies
>after that it's weird onmyo stuff
>only 1 robe set for katana
Kinda dropping the ball, TN.
Every weapon is good.
If there was a tier list it would probably be something like 2kat and kusarigama S tier the rest in A tier.
Largesse is better now.
How to fight humans with splitstaff? Honda and Hanzo wreck my face while I can do Youkai bosses no problem.
I mean, you're not wrong. I'm fairly experienced with all weapons but hatchets so I'm just surprised they're not shit after hearing how bad they were
They feel fairly strong, safe, with pretty good action skills. They don't have the pure bustedness of 2kat but they have a far better base moveset and a wider variety of handy action skills. I find them pretty fun to use actually
S H I N C R U S H E R
Remember to 100% Way of the Demon to get your very own Scampuss Hat!
I got one anyway without beating WoTD just from a drop
Spam shin crusher and then grapple, rinse and repeat.. SC eats their ki super hard if they attempt to block it, which they likely will.
Where the fuck is this guy's wife?

I still think they're probably the weakest weapon with some bad hitboxes on certain moves and a somewhat low damage output but it's far from bad.
I think people just like to latch on to the low tier underdog stuff and exaggerate it's flaws.
Jp wiki has axe and odachi at S everything else A and hatchets B.
When you're more rpg than man sure but when you're actually playing the game I would not agree.
Odachi is a maybe for S tier though that weapon is pretty darn good.
am i just kinda shit or is light armor/low toughness a gigantic increase in difficulty with very little tradeoff rewards?
The only problem I found with hatchets is that their damage is pretty dependent on all ablaze and a lot of the moves have really bad problems with consistency. It's still a really fun and versatile weapon even if a lot of the skills are just worse versions of other weapons skills. Take it's pathetic Iai moves which take forever to charge even with animation cancelling
You're playing on hard mode
Only real benefit are set bonuses and access to better damage mods. like Star melee damage and agility damage bonus.
not anymore, i had to switch back because i was legit getting filtered by everything
i did my first playthrough as an axegrug so trying to go from that to tonfa/staff with robes was a hell of a game changer
at least i can pretend i'm still wearing onmyo thighgap hunter with refashion
Greased lightning isn't great but boulder breaker is excellent. You have to use it while you still have some space like after a piercing hurl, dragonfly, or advancing storm. Its slow because its not meant to be used up close after a melee combo most of the time.
>still can't equip or refashion the clothing you wear from the tutorial
Come on TN it's already there
yeah that works but I actually have to work. Yeah I switched from Odachi
>hatchets at B
Makes sense
That's the other thing about hatchets, they're pretty different from the other weapons and take a lot of getting used to so people likely rate it lower than it deserves for that.
And one of it's best skills is locked behind a boss drop too.
At home, cooking.
Which JP wiki?
You're probably right, I don't have a ton of experience with it yet as I'm playing through from the start. We'll see if my opinion changes later like it did for stuff like 2kat and 1kat
>finally getting the hang of splitstaff
feels goodman, it's a lot of fun
my last remaining problem is how the fuck do i get myself to stop polevaulting after every low stance ki pulse
don't answer that, i know how, it's just annoying
Nioh is shonen manga.
Sekiro is War and Peace.
Could somebody explain to my how sometimes in high and mid stance I do the split staffs darting cloud (the pole vault)? It happens during a ki pulse but I can't replicate it.
Kamigame iirc. I looked months ago
I just turned that skill off because I'm too smoothbrain to stop moving my left stick.
