which was it kino and which was cringe?
Which was it kino and which was cringe?
Arkham Asylum is still king.
The whole Arkham Knight/Jason Todd shit was pure cringe
City probably has the best moments on average
I prefer the Metroid like layout of AA over the open world shit, but they’re all good games
Asylum > City > Knight
It's a good trilogy overall but Knight is really disappointing.
the games are great but the remasters are a joke.
All kino
no cringe
No way this is true, how could they fuck it up this badly?
This here is why I'll always play the games on my dusty old PS3
Am I the only one that really likes Origins?
Only City is good from beginning to end so it's the only one I'd call kino
Asylum and Origins are also good but both have some problems that hold them back for me
Knight is pure cringe and a disappointment in almost every way
All three are kino, but City > Knight > Asylum
Origins was solid too though a definite step backwards from City.
all of them were kino.
I prefer the level design of 1, but the gameplay is kino in Knights.
They were pretty cool, I just hope rocksteady will not use batman's combat for their ss game.
I hope the opposite.
It's definitely the most underrated game
If it wasn't for Joker hijacking the story and how many things it reused from City it would be looked at much more kindly
I think it looks better/about the same in most places, no clue why Strange got such a drastic change
No it's good. Very good even. I just like the other three better.
Why can't they give him white eyes like in the comics?
>Asylum
the first one is still the best, only thing City did better is that it used a slightly redefined combat system
>City
a bit overrated desu, also it shouldn’t have been open-world, majority of open-world shit felt like a chore
>want to do the Riddler side-quest where you have to rescue hostages
>nah nigga you have to solve 120 lame riddles first
whatever
>no Origins
why is Origins treated like a black sheep? it’s literally City 1.5 but with a more interesting story and chill winter atmosphere
>Knight
haven’t played it yet but, there is a chance I will never play it, but I was told Batmobile is overused and you have to finish EVERY side-quest to unlock the final story mission wtf
>you have to finish EVERY side-quest to unlock the final story mission wtf
I don't remember that at ALL.
Why is the remaster so distractingly wet and shiny?
It's raining.
It's raining.
>it’s literally City 1.5 but with a more interesting story and chill winter atmosphere
city came out much more polished, i havent played origins since release but it was a buggy, glitchy mess and felt like a downgrade over all. i will give you the atmosphere though, gotham really suits winter.
I think he has them when you're in Detective Mode which is a nice touch, but that's it.
I think the aesthetic choice works better for 2D than 3D unless it's stylized or used sparingly, see the 2003 TMNT versus the 2012 one for example.
In that part of the game it was raining, as other anons said.
>only thing City did better is that it used a slightly redefined combat system
And bosses, and story, and more interesting levels, and added side content, and...
Wait how is Asylum better again?
That makes me think that the fight with superman will be really boring.
Realistically, you couldn't kite Superman or get up close.
City > Origins, Asylum > > Knight
user likely means getting the true ending being locked behind doing all the Riddler shit and catching every villain/doing their side mission
kino games but cringe for the combat system everybody sucked off, got old real quick.
Not him, and I like City better overall, but I do think Asylum had better level design. City's locations were more interesting to look at but Asylum's were more interesting to explore IMO.
Oh yeah, that was retarded. People like the Riddler shit though.
Knight>City>Origins>Asylum
Why do people like Asylum so much? City was so much better
Smooth brains
This, but also Asylum had more "atmosphere" and reminded me of something like Long Halloween, while City had a feeling more close to a Nolan movies.
Just depends on what you prioritize. Asylum had the best level design, Knight played the best, and City fell somewhere in the middle.
I feel like I'm the only person who liked the race tracks. It didn't fit his character at all but they were pretty fun.
very cool bro
so, literally, your opinion good > everyone else's bad >:C
Best level design, best Joker, best Scarecrow, best Croc, no bullshit.
>better level design
How? The open world games had the exact same backtracking, gate keeping and tricks as Asylum except more of it and better. Even the Riddler shit got way better. You smooth brains regurgitate the dumbest shit without a second thought to what you're even saying. Fucking morons.
Best atmosphere.
Tight metroidvania type map instead of a bloated open world.
It's the only one out of the whole trilogy where it actually makes sense that Batman takes down several of his arch enemies in one night.
It's the one game out of the three where shoving the Joker down your throat doesn't make you roll your eyes.
It's just easily the best. And this game is the true creative achievement out of the three, everything that's good about this series exists because Asylum did it first and the other two reused it.
That's unironically not how it looks, that the pre-release trailer, this was fixed before the remaster even launched, I don't know why you retards keep posting dishonest shit, same with FF10 comparisons that use the pre-alpha Tidus model that's not even remotely close to the one in final version.
City>Asylum=Origins>Knight
best game:
Asylums layout
City's combat
Origins' bossfights
Knight can kindly fuck off.
Rocksteady is apparently working on a Suicide Squad game so well see how that pans out.
Some people prefer the more labyrinthine Metroidvania style of level design as opposed to the "straight shot from point A to point B" open world stuff
Yeah, no ones eyes rolled at the ending of Asylum. Really great stuff.
Knight has the best combat and enemy variety. Also the best predator sections.
Not him but I like Asylum's layout better because the scale it gave felt apropriate. City felt like too much jammed in together next to each other so that what was supposed to be a vast cityscape felt like a cramped playground
