It's fucking great if you like open world, and a legit GOTY contender.

Play subbed not dubbed though.

This. It has to played in Japanese, they got legitimate VAs too

Sexy/10
Fun/10

Fuck Mongolians

Final showdown with Khotal's pretty rough on lethal. Wearing Ghost Armor and I didn't bother up leveling any other armor besides it and traveller, so damage reduction ain't a thing. Literally every attack one-hit ko's me and now there's like a 4-phase boss fight / enemy gauntlet. I like it, but kind of weird difficulty spike since the rest of the game was such a breeze, generally.

60fps wouldn't have hurt either if you're constantly trying to perfect parry all the lategame enemies

not on pc so who cares?

Why are PC faggots like this?

Because consoles are for kids.

Fucking good shit, but too short and not enough duels. Fuckheads launched without a NG+ feature. Shamefur dispray.

Ok well we like them

It's good but there's nothing new here. Open world game that's good but in an era where there's 734343432 open world games just... eh ok

It's nearly identical to Days Gone just with Samurai, a better story and better combat.

Days Gone is 6/10

Ghost of Tsushima is 8.5/10

Not him but hard to rate a game when you can't play it no?

And yet here we all are on Zig Forums in a console game thread. You played yourself nigga.

Fav game this year so far

Better than expected. I remember when we first started seeing footage for this game and thought it was gonna be trash.

Turns out Zig Forums shouldn't judge a book by it's cover

it's probably one of the few samurai games out there that is legitimately good and not "so bad it's good" but actually good.

tfw cannot do any successful standoffs from act 3 onwards

7/10 - 8/10 if you really liked the samurai setting.

Got the plat a few days ago. Rate it a 7.5/10. Story's not as interesting as it could've been and the combat gets boring half way through. Switching ghost weapons was fucking annoying and sometimes when you changed stance it didn't register.

Focus on their feet. They’ll attempt to juke you with upper body movement and verbal shit, but their feet don’t move until they’re actually attacking.

I came to Ghost of Sushi from playing Nioh 2 and this irritated the fuck out of me. Nioh 2’s controls and stance switching is on point and coming to GoT felt like fucking in molasses.

it simultaneously ruined any hype i might have had for the new AC game since there's absolutely no chance it'll be as good as this, AND made Naughty Dog look like one of Sony's inferior first party studios by comparison. really cool game.

Nothing you said about the game matches the score you gave it

I like how there’s no fantasy elements like ghosts and shit, I wanted a real samurai life sim and this is kinda close

The stance switching is one of the legitimate gripes I have with the game. There are some states Jin can be in where holding R2 simply doesn't bring up the menu. The biggest offender is the fact that R2 also picks up items, so in a big battle where there are often corpses with items on the grround, holding R2 fails to bring up the menu as it instead attempts to pick up whatever's on the ground. It really gets quite annoying.

It’s a 9/10 for me, I wish it had freeform climbing like botw and free hook grappling like tenchu but it is good

Good
>very pretty (for a console game)
>compelling story
Bad
>30fps
>the worst kind of open world mechanics

Honestly it's a 7/10 until it comes out on PC then it's a 7.5/10.

Why hasn't Ubison done Assassins Creed Japan? Are they saving it for a "break glass" situation?

fpbp

How's that apple taste?

this
nothing new here but the presentation is fantastic
solid 8/10, 3rd favorite game of this year after Doom and FF7R

pointless anyway. they wouldn't have added the depth of combat as this game. just be light/heavy attack and "special" hits

Loved this game, platinumed it under a week and sold it ASAP, basically had 50 hours of gameplay for $5

Best PS4 release this year.

>>the worst kind of open world mechanics
The ubishit formula really didn't bother me in this game, probably because the setting was so good and the world is so stylized and gorgeous

its shit

/thread

here's the xbot.

Because everything else about it was great. I just didn't mention it because I'd rather focus on typing what I didn't like.

I gotta add that the story gets kinda plain after act 1 and not being able to skip cutscenes is BRUTAL
