How's that game coming along Zig Forums?
How's that game coming along Zig Forums?
anybody got a good blender to unreal workflow
there is none
fbx is a cucked format unfortunately
Should I do an autistic loredump itt?
I've only ever seen blendertards complain about fbx ever.
wrote like 2 lines of code today
click export and change the scale
finishing summons design, gonna make another list of shit too implement and hopefully those will be the last features that need to be added
I'm figuring out what the fuck I'm planning with it.
Yes
that's more than half of the retards on /g/ already
Would a hex based blobber be too strange to work?
Redpill me on gdscript.
>get the urge to work on my game again
>spend 6 hours sculpting a character
>now have to retopologize it
>make hair
>paint textures
>rig the body
>make clothes
>animate it
>and this is just one character and I'd need dozens to make the game
>what about level design
>what about script
>what about music
>then there's that little thing called gameplay too
literally impossible
I might need to rework a system because people don't understand it very well.
The player starts with 3 dice in the top row, they find more and can add a second one to the bottom row with different statuses like burn and poison. The lets them have 6 possible status effects in battle.
When the character Attacks(red), Shields(blue) or Charges (green) in battle, reusing that action a second time uses the second row dice, then back to the first.
I might scrap the second row entirely and replace it with an item which adds the bonus to a plain dice. So the Poison item makes the dice above it a poison dice and the player can find lots of these bonus items
Good job, you're just about to realize why people team up, buy assets or make pixelshit games. You're so close.
Battle Network with waifus idk
where's a good code encyclopedia
cute robot
Thanks
I'm curious, how much time do people spend on games? Personally, I spend ~2 hours every day, using my own system.
Basically, I have a period of time, during which I cannot, let's say, entertain myself, so no videos, no games, no porn, stuff like that. I still allow doing literally nothing or just walking outside. Because during this time I get bored as fuck, I typically just go and work on my game, though, sometimes I go workout or just walk my dog. I find this to be a really healthy way of not forcing myself to work on the game and instead I work, because I want to, and still retain the every day routine.
Grided code yesterday, grinding pic related today.
I don't think I've ever seen someone finish a battle network clone
I've only ever seen autodesk shills defend fbx ever.
Currently learning Unity. I just discovered events and I'm fascinated lol
just cut corners and reuse the same model
If you're working by yourself maybe you shouldn't go for graphics that eat up so much time to produce.
Next project'll probably be battle network based, but I'm gonna try to go with what feels like a natural progression vs another clone. You guys have any ideas? In my head thinking of getting rid of the grid and having the chips work like video poker and you sting together better hands for combos. Enemies have high and low attacks and you can slide under or jump over them.
Drawin' assets. When not drawin', thinking how to spice up the normal boring RPG Maker gameplay. I want every character to play differently, but the same old "dps-healer-tank" stuff is boring.
I draw and write on top of coding, so my time on each hobby is a bit more spread out, usually with me doing multiple hours every few days and nothing the other ones.
I like your idea.
Need some advice, making a harvest type game but am thinking of maybe just having a big farm area and you can building anywhere rather than grid based, crops would be "built" too and you'd drag the size of crop field you'd want and it'd increase the seed cost. Want to figure out farm mechanics so I can get on to designing the waifus and husbandos
I give up
Never give up, Shibaposter
I feel the grid is needed for a game like this. But if you can make it work, go for it. The poker idea could be a good take on the card system
could be a dead end of game making
Trying to get into Sprite art to get my first project off the ground, got Aseprite and have been tracing some images to try and get a feel for the software.
What do you think should be the size of my Sprite sheets be when I'm making art?
Is 100 by 100 alright?
cope harder /ic/ tranny
that's pretty big, are you making a fighting game or something
most sprites fit inside 16x16 to 32x32 squares

The shangai game
figure out your game resolution first, then open that up to see how it will look on screen. design your sprite sizes to be however big you'd like them to appear in that resolution.
also your canvas size can be as large as you want when drawing, just make sure your sprites are centered and crop them when you import them.
Work contract coming to a end and the job market is a but shit. As I have shit skills and experience I am not expecting getting into work soon.
Been looking at finally trying something to pass the time. I have licenses for Gamemaker Pro from years ago from a humble bundle.
Is Pro obsolete? Can it deploy to current versions of Android/iOS or would I need Gamemaker 2 for that?
Thanks user. I like to keep my shit very structured, since my shitty human brain is bad at retaining motivation, but if you want to work on your game, always do.
Don't give up user, we believe in you!
Post your game :)
