Never learned how to swim

Don't let your kids play games.

video games have entertained me more than any of those things ever could. Although I do know how to ride a bike, and I knew how to swim (forgot).

is swimming really something you have to learn?

I blame your parents for not motivating you into doing these things.

It involves having control of your own body. Paddling isn't complex but being able to position your body properly so you actually move is.

blame invisible dad

Yes. People who never learned will just flounder and drown in deep water.

Does anyone actually have memorable moments gaming? When I look back on life all I see is me sitting in front of a computer monitor wasting away

yes
it's not hard

Yes, with friends

Some. Usully from paying with friends.

Are you black by any chance?

>never learned how to swim
>never learned how to ride a bike
Literally how? It takes maybe an afternoon tops to learn both of these. How did video games stop you? Unless you had no acess to a pool/river/sea whatever.
I learned how to swim properly pretty late because my parents didn't like the dog paddle.

I have good memories of playing TF2, L4D2 and TTT with friends

S-Stop it.. this isn’t true.. this isn’t me

No it's not. Where do you people live? Unless you go boating a lot or live by the ocean then no one's putting a gun to your head to float in water.

>>never learned how to ride a bike
I know you're american

School? You never had pool class during PE?

>can't go to the beach, lake, river, or pool
Sucks to be you user.
Have fun dying when you fall into some water.

Obsessed Euroshart, get run over by Muhammed’s truck of peace please

i grew up on an island lmao

Not him but my school didn't have a pool, most don't in America I think.

Not him, but I used to be able to swim when I was like 9. I didn't go into a pool again until I was like 17 or 18 and by that time I had totally forgotten how to swim so I just floundered in the water.

Bro what is there to learn about riding a bike? Just get in and start doing it, it should be second nature

>Forgot how to ride a bike
Nigga what the fuck that's literally not possible.

>playing Wolf 3D growing up
>playing AoE 2 on christmas when my brother bought it for me
>playing Halo 2/3 and CoD4 with friends
>going to H3 midnight launch with friends
>first time leaving oblivion sewers
>playing TF2
>playing WC3 customs with friends
>playing League of Legends with dorm mates every day in college

I forgot how to swim, not how to ride a bike.

You can't swim? Are you black?

Who cares? You think you'd have memories of riding your stupid bike or swimming well? All of that shit and games too are just different ways to pass the time in a planet where nothing fucking matters. The truth is that you are using that bullshit as a broad excuse as to why you are socially inept now, because the reality you don't want to accept is that you not having a girlfriend is a problem purely born out of yourself not wanting to fix anything, not because muh games prevented me from doing nice things.

Then do it now retard better late than never

I learned how to drive at 26 because I was a pussy but now I basically do it everyday instead of sharing a bus with stinky niggers

Trust me buddy, you also wont get any memorable moments learning new skills, going through relationships with girls, making close friends in real life, or traveling the world

I do but I'm just realizing they were all with Zig Forums. From 2009 through around 2012 I would play Halo, Quake, etc. with Zig Forums pretty regularly. Also I remember getting hyped for DaS's PC release and having fun playing it while posting in threads.

>learned how to swim
>haven't swam in almost 10 years
>learned how to bike
>haven't rode a bike in almost 10 years
>haven't had sex in more than 10 years
>all I did was play games

>animeposter
you deserve it.

Yeah, I jumped off the diving board knowing damn well I hadn't learned how to swim from this class. The instructor had to get me out of the pool.

I can ride a bike but I can barely swim

If you're fat and/or retarded mabye then sure lol. Swimming efficiently takes some learning sure but any normal non-retarded person should be able to kick their feet to avoid drowning.

Seeing as how he never learned to ride a bike either i'm gonna go with fat...

I remember the time my dad and I were playing mortal Kombat on the sega genisis and a fly landed on the crt and I caught it in my hand.
Also remember the times my dad and I spent playing RE5 together with me spamming the "Cmon! Button incessantly and him getting aggravated and yelling at me to stop it.
Granted those times were times spent with my father and not necessarily video games but I think it's fair to say most memorable things in life are things shared with family. Learning to swim or ride a bike is only memorable for the same reason.

in britbong we always had weekly trips to the pool to learn swimming.

can't you just play games while also doing all of that like most normalfags?

Yes, mostly from PS3 era, when i played LBP and Cod with friends, and when i met a guy on BF3, launching bike

>swimming in the ocean with some surf
There is nothing more fun and relaxing.

big bodies of water scare me

but isn't swimming like riding a bike? how do you forget?

>learned how to ride a bike
>rode bike to local creek
>learned how to swim at the creek
>learned how to talk to girls at the creek
>got recruited to be a sponsored gamer in '07
>lived correct childhood, lived out childhood dreams
>currently fucking 4 different women and streaming on twitch for a living

Why?

wide, deep, never ending

Is there any particular reason why you can't learn to swim right now?

I swear I always rejected ivitations to the beach/pool because I don't swin and I never learned because since I was 18 I got a bunch of stretch marks in my belly and back from getting fat too fast so I don't want to show my disgusting body to anyone.

count yourself lucky

I never learned how to ride a bike either. My parents would constantly guilt me over it too starting when I was around 6 or 7.
>parents constantly tried to teach me how to ride a bike
>would make up embarrassing scenarios like how my friends would invite me to ride bikes together, but since I wouldn't know how, they'd all laugh and make fun of me
>or that a friend would randomly lend me a spare bike but I would have to admit I don't know how to ride one
>all as an attempt to convince me to learn
By the time I was 10 they gave up. I still wonder why the fuck they even thought of that made-up moment. I was a blatant vidyafag at a young age so I don't know why they even thought I'd end up in situations like that.

You can literally still learn all of that, you lazy fuck.

You grew up poor.

>You can literally still learn all of that, you lazy fuck.

>know how to swim
>never learned but want to pick up biking
>its over 40 degrees celcius here daily and we dont have bike lanes
Welp, time to die.

Yeah, I was a swimming instructor before covid. If you want to swim with proper technique and not waste energy, there‘s a lot of nuance for every stroke/dive/tread/float/glide. There are quite a few main types of strokes and each has its own unique strengths, some are more complex than others.
Before you learn strokes, you start with simple floats and glides to make yourself relaxed in the water so you don’t tense up for more difficult techniques. It’s something even adult learners can struggle with, everyone learns at a different rate.

Yes. I distinctly remember many different moments playing games.

I'm 25 and don't know how to tie my shoes. Link me the most foolproof guide.

I've seen a lot of videos of Chinese and middle easterners/pakis/indians drowning in like 2m tall lakes.

>never learned how to talk to girls
This is the hardest one for me and it's embarrassing to try and learn at the age of 25. Who knew it was so different from talking online

What's your point?

i can only do bunny ears

>Halo 2 with cousins
>Smash bros melee with cousins/friends
>Garfield game
>Sonic Unleashed opening
>2013 kill everyone server on GMod
that's it
