Only way to kill dino bots is shooting their eye or weak spot

>only way to kill dino bots is shooting their eye or weak spot
>they run around fast as fuck and jerk about making it pretty hard to land a shot even with keyboard and mouse

I really wonder how console players were even able to play this

Plug in a controller an use aim assist if you're that much of a poor shot.

Get good faggot

it auto aims for them?

I've never owned a console, but what's the fucking point of even playing if the game will aim for you?

Use a controller. Autoaim is cranked up to 100 on ps4, to make up for how shit the controller is.

its aim assist not auto aim. theres a difference.

Been thinking about getting this on PC but I'm not sure if it will have performance issues like so many people seem to be having.

It's slight and barely noticeable retard. It doesn't take away from any of the fun

If only the game have you some kind of way to disable them.
Like some kind of electric arrows or rope traps or rope arows that bind the enemy in place.
And if only you could showroom first destroy body parts to weaken the enemy before you got for the kill.
Hell imagine if you could acualy use the enemy weapons once you damage them and break them off.

I'm on a 2070 and haven't had any issues so far. Actually runs better than Ubisoft open world games. But there's still bugs but nothing major

Just dont crank the grafics up to ultra like some autist.
Ultra is literally designed to give you 10% better visuals at 50% more cost.
Its future proof technology not meant to be used on current hardware.
High looks much better than PS4 por and runs on mid range PCs at 60 fps.

I double dipped, it’s easier on PC even when playing with a controller because it’s not running in 30fps with input lag.
There really is some truth to that “frames wins games” marketing crap because it’s that much easier to aim with higher frame rates.

I noticed on the Xbox One controller the aim feels slightly off, must be the shitty dualtrash controller since it's symmetrical.

It gets even more retarded when you get thrown in tiny arenas with giant machines that have tracking attacks, even if you are running perpendicular to where the machine is facing and press dodge at the last second, you still get hit, if it weren’t for the fact that the game is piss easy and you have like 4 health bars + healing potions, not to mention that every trap except for the rope caster is shit

There's a slow mo mode, if I remember right you need to upgrade the skill tree to unlock it

The game isn't worth it at Ultra settings. that's why people get shit performance.

>Being this awful at aiming

I didn't seem to have issues hitting weak spots and once you unlock slow motion shots then it's even easier.

If they're primarily a mouse user not used to aiming with a controller I can believe it

Consolefag here, I only had a problem with those burrowing fucks and the big ass bird. Thunderjaw is pretty easy once you take out the disc launcher to use against it. Also a few of those corrupted areas were total bullshit. It's a great game still, might get it for PC since I never played Frozen Wilds

>Rope Caster

Goddamn that shit is broken. I used it more than any other weapon in my playthroughs and I've played the game twice now, not sure if I want to double dip for the PC version and play it a third time. It is a fun game though.

It's nice because you get the rope caster right at the beginning of the game, and honestly by halfway through you should be a walking unstoppable machine hunter. Aloy becomes super strong pretty quickly once you start getting a few upgrades.

>Aloy becomes super strong pretty quickly once you start getting a few upgrades
Doesn't help that you can buy the best bows in the game right as you walk out of the first area in the game.

Aww man is this one of those games that is super easy? I haven't played much past the tutorial because of the performance problems. Should I be playing on the hardest difficulty?

Yeah, the game is fun but I didn't really consider it challenging since the game gives you so many tools and upgrades that you'll easily outscale most enemies in the game early on. Even some of the more menacing machines aren't dangerous if you just use some simple thinking and strategy, like setting a bunch of rope caster traps that light them on fire or shock them so they're paralyzed, then you just run up and beat them to death and knock off their armor.

>it auto aims for them?
It doesn't. OP just sucks ass.

Does the story get better?

Hard mode is best. Also don’t go after that outfit that constantly regens health cuz you literally can’t die with it on.

Yes. But it's mostly the backstory and world-building that makes it interesting. As well as some more interesting characters than Aloy.

I can't remember aim assist, but I remember there being some serious projectile magnetism on the arrows

played this game when i had a ps4. The game auto aims. Most console players don't even know it happens because they think auto aim is like cod where the cursor snaps onto a target. Also you have to use the same strategy over and over again for each robot. This game is boring as fuck once you figure out the robots patterns and upgrade your armor/weapons

Shield Weaver is still way more broken.
