I played this shit, it was weird, was one of the gamecube launch game if I remember correctly, it's the only game my friend had when he got the gamecube back then

It was a tech demo.

I found this at a Goodwill last year. I was expecting a wholesome kids platformer, and all I got was a point and click adventure.

A very easy platformer on GBC but its got a little bit of soul in its graphics

This game was so bizaare. I played it a burger king. There was some imp who could go in mirrors and events seemed to happen at random. I'd do the same action 4 times on the 4th time something would happen. Wtf.

Wait I did play this game I just realized, they had it at a McDonald's I used to go to.

And didn't it have like the same opening cutscene as Epic Mickey? I thought Epic Mockey was nodding to it.

Holy shit, I remember seeing this once as a kid and it was really mystifying. Even creeped me out.
It's hard to explain but I saw games differently as a kid. I mean I knew it was a game made by people, and yet I always thought of the game world as real for some reason. Best example is Mario Bros 2 and the door you fall from in the beginning. Like I thought behind the door it would be something huge and mysterious and beyond my imagination. It could literally be anything. I thought it could be Mario's house and Mario would have a really cozy home and this magical door was cursed, or it could be in some mysterious place somewhere. I thought it was impossible to get in there but if I somehow glitched the game and went up there there would be this huge world I could explore even though it wasnt intended. Like I never thought about it like some programmer just put a door there for the beginning. I literally thought there would be a world behind it even though it was impossible to get there.

I only mention this because I thought the same thing of the mirror in this cover. I thought there was something huge and mysterious behind it and I was really curious what it was about. Too bad I never got it.

Damn. Same thing happened to me. I remember showing it to my dad and he was like, "Isn't this for babies? The Fuck? You're like eight now."

I played the GBA version. Though it was the m&ms take on Mario party.
