Buying Video Games

With the industry forcing an all across the board price increase from $60 to $70 of video games, are you going to be buying more, about the same, or less video games compared to your regular purchasing history?

>15% unemployment
>40% eviction rate
>poor job security

These factors are making me not buy video games as much. I have a personal budget of 1 (ONE) $60 game + 3 small indie games (

About the same. I don't buy a lot of games. LIke 3 per year at most. I've got niche taste, I don't really bother with a lot of modern games. My PC emulates & plays most of what i'm currently interested in, for free. Whether it's 180 or 210 a year that I spend on gaming outside of peripherals, I don't think I care too much

I was a poorfag during the 2008 recession pirating 50 and 40 dollar games, I dont see the difference here now in continuing to pirate 70 dollar games

I'll continue to pirate almost every singleplayer game outside of the 1 shitty JRPG a year that I actually feel like buying at full price.
Playing video games on your computer is just too convenient.

I haven't bought a game outside of sales in 10 years. I'll just continue pirating and buy games I like when they're at least 50% off.

Video games go on deep sales often enough for me not to worry much. Even if things got real tight, I’ve accumulated so many games the past few years through bundles and cheap sales that I’ll be set for a long while.

It won't affect me or anyone else that doesn't buy games at full price anyway, which should be most people outside of hype fags.

>imagine paying (((studios))) for their propaganda

I have more free time for gaming than ever before since my hours were cut, but I’m too nervous to enjoy gaming at the moment. Afraid that I’ll soon be laid off when the state has run out of unemployment money. Afraid that I’ll catch a deadly virus at work and give it to my wife. I have no money to spend on new games. The money I have managed to save last month has gone towards an AR-15. I’m afraid of this country’s future.

>increasing prices when money is going to get tighter
Are people legitimately this stupid enough to think it'll somehow work and not cause a decline in revenue?

I rarely buy games at full price
I can see the 70 dollar price tag make people not want to move on to next gen, but then again A lot of people Buy 4k TVs while not having anything that supports 4K and the newest phones while barley affording rent so who knows.

>consuming propaganda... for free!

Ah yes, China's famous economic growth. If you believe anything that country then you are a fool.

>haha don't worry about China bro they're poor just let them buy all your companies and IPs

Fuck off, shill.

Looks like I'll just have to pirate more games to make up for it

i don't think i will be buying many games any more unless they are exclusive for console

I don't buy video games until they're in the $20-30 range.
All this changes is that I will take more time before I buy the game.

>4 games every month
wtf man

Neet of 5 years here. This is a problem that solves itself. New games suck so you don't need to buy any. Instead you can play your old consoles or emulate and have more fun for free

Never payed for 60 bucks games at launch and never will. They are not worth it. Bought one game for 50 bucks at launch but it tanked in price hard, but I loved so. AAA games that dont interest me are worth 30 bucks max

A lot of those are cheap shitty Steam games.

I'd sooner start paying for porn than for video games.

>32.6%
In most European countries it was 8%. What is America doing so wrong?

PCchads in 3rd world countries will keep on winning due to steam’s regional pricing anyway.

>world recession
>"what do we do?"
>better crank up those vidya prices

Wow, what a well thought out plan!

I just checked and the numbers are actually 11% mortality rate in America.
That is to say if you add up all the people that have recovered and those have died and then find the percentage of those that have died based on that total.

By pretending the virus is a hoax and making wearing a mask political.

Schools are opening, and by mid-September, the US will get its 3rd wave. Or if you want to look at it another way, its 1st wave, since it never really left.

>Zig Forums complains about their interests not being catered to and the high sales in the industry of SJW games and movie games
>Zig Forums also has a consistent hatred of supporting developers and voting with your dollar
>Zig Forums has a Zig Forums streak and makes fun of blacks for high crime rates
>Zig Forums is also generally pro crime as long as it's a wimpy enough crime to be done without risk at the computer

Classic. Loving every laugh at u fools.

I've bought more guns/ammo than anything in the past few months.
