You, yeah, you, I have a question

You, yeah, you, I have a question.

Is Hiveswap, specifically the game, considered Zig Forums or Zig Forums?

I don't think either of us want it.

It's /trash/, now fuck off.

Hiveswap actually isn't that terrible, it's fun in the same way West of Loathing is fun

Technically both, just like how capeshit movies are both Zig Forums and Zig Forums.

But also .

/trash/ is pretty much dead unless you're posting porn at this point

Both, though if we're talking specifically Hiveswap, I guess it leans more towards Zig Forums. Though Hiveswap is an adventure game, it's more like a visual novel, and Friendsim really is just a visual novel
that scene with the portal in Hiveswap and the ending of Friendsim are actual kino, though

Homestuck is banned from all boards, including /trash/. The only exception is image dumps on boards like /aco/ and /y/.

>Hussie pretty much lived and breathed Homestuck for a good few years
>Homestuck took over your life
>The kickstarter for the game crashed and burned when the company he contacted fucked off with the money and he had to do it all from scratch himself

No wonder the guy is a recluse, imagine being the guy who made Homestuck and had to deal with all that bullshit. It's like being the guy who made this hellhole site, except moot had the luxury of disappearing into Googles gaping maw, never to be seen again

I bet someone could get away with a thread on /cm/. Still, sort of wild to think about, considering Homosuck is pretty dead, even with H2 going on. MLP has it's own containment board, but Homestuck somehow has enough power to be banned outright. Even though it used to have containment threads on Zig Forums

Homestuck ended on Cascade. Everything afterwards is a trashfire.

>unironically defending or praising hussie
I know what you spent a few yours of your life wasted on.

What happened to my nigga Sollux?

>the zoomers here actually talking about homestuck

nine years ago we would've chased you out.

I'm fine with it being banned on Zig Forums. Every time I'm reminded of it just makes me hurt. But that doesn't really matter, because it's always on my mind. I know this is ridiculous, but it was very important and special to me when it was good, and I've never been able to move on due to the lack of closure it received. I don't really know how to get over it. It had no ending, and every post-finale attempt to amend that only served to make it worse still. The kids never actually had a four-way, in-person conversation. Most of the characters were hollowed out into empty caricatures of who they were. Spades Slick died unceremoniously after Hussie's avatar personally intervened to save his life after Cascade for ultimately no reason. I could go on for hours, but I won't. I just wish I could stop caring, but it's futile.

Caliborn is the best character Andrew Hussie ever wrote and that's unfortunate given he's only in Act 6.

Less defending, more feeling sorry for.

Homestuck was a few years too old for zoomers

Aradia left him in a dream bubble to simultaneously chill with Davebot in the Candy timeline, and chill with the MSPA reader in Pesterquest and to have some fun breaking canon in that timeline

Nice ebin oldfag act, faggot. All this shows is you haven't been here for more than five years, at most.

I give my nigga Caliborn a honorary exception as being the only good thing past the homestuck death treshold. He truly did nothing wrong.

Let go of Canon. Embrace the ability to envision your own post-credits sequence. There was only a main timeline because Caliborn demanded there be one that leads to his creation. With him locked out, anything goes - no matter how much Ultimate Dirk likes to think he's proper canon.

Hiveswap Friendsim into Pesterquest is surprisingly chill and cathartic if you still feel pain

Homestuck is millennial territory, zoomers hate it cause they don't understand computer science and don't like that they sometimes have to read

You're a moron, a tourist, likely underage and trying too hard to fit in.

I guess I'll give that a try. Nothing to lose.

It's considered /cringe/ and you should feel bad for having a screenshot of it on your machine.

This entire website is cringe, it has a dedicated MLP board.

Relatable really. I bet most of the fans think the same as you do, the story was quite good, I think even post-scratch for a while was great, but then it faded into nothing. Something has to have happened to Hussie midway, for a guy that closed everything simultaneously each arc, those last arcs and ending were a piece of shit

For Friendsim, don't be afraid to explore or run into bad endings, sometimes they're just as interesting as the good ones, once you get deep into it

Heard meat and candy were shit so I didn’t even try them to not tarnish my memory any further. Did anyone give Homestuck^2 a try? Did it fix anything?

Hussie was dedicating his every breathing moment to Homestuck. That's a good 8 years. And then supposedly he had to go through endless legal trouble after the Kickstarter for the game, and lost 2 million dollars because the company he was working with allegedly mismanaged it to hell or ran off with the money, meaning he had to make his own company from the ground up, hence the year long hiatus'.

I think the Epilogue served as great closure, pre-Homestuck 2^. If you want stuff to be wrapped up, maybe it's not what you want. But I went in, wanting the destruction of Homestuck, and I left very satisfied.
And then Homestuck 2 came out and proceeded to drag me back in, break the rules established in the Epilogue and be absoutely devoid of soul. For six months though, I was happy.

How'd they get banned from /trash/?

A lot of people don't know this but most of Act 6 was literal filler because the ending animation he commissioned took years longer than anticipated and he had to keep the comic alive somehow. That's why there was a retcon, because he didn't want to bother actually wrapping up any of the padding shit he tossed in, like the Aranea plot. You can see in the ending animation that Vriska's eyes were hastily edited because she was originally supposed to be dead there. Her resurrection was a last-minute addition.
