based. too bad the next one's fartshite batfemoid starring co-op trash
you're right but they whole series is still kino even origins
Rocksteady should make a horror game. All the experimental, out there set pieces from all the Arkham games like the Scarecrow glitches in Asylum and Joker's last moments in Knight were neat and spooky.
based too. rocksteady have shown themselves to be great at map horror.
I will forever lament they will never use their knowledge from Arkham and apply it to a Shadow game
Only in atmosphere.
City doesn't have Titan Joker.
>then
fucking kill yourself
What are some good open but not really open world games?
For me, it would be a Daredevil game with DD voiced by James McCaffrey and radar vision replacing detective vision.
Asylum>Origins and fuck the rest.
Extremely short, joker boss fight is not really a boss, less achievements, It's alright.
They're all really great games. Can't think of any other superhero games handled as well as these. Currently playing through Arkham Knight, love it. Only knocks I have against it are the amount of mandatory batmobile stuffs and Riddler trophies. Looks great, plays great, feels great. You can see it was made with love.
City > Knight > Origins > Asylum
Asylum was mediocre
Everything except for the bosses.
Does higher difficulty make these more fun? Or just sponges
Origins is okay. It lacks the Rocksteady polish. I never had Asylum or City glitch out and become unplayable like Origins has.
>Extremely short
Comparable in length to City actually.

>joker bossfight
Correct.
>less acheivements
This matters?
I actually 100 percented the games recently and I was surprised that City actually has the worst Riddler challenge set in the series. Like, the individual hostage saving is the best Riddler SIDEQUEST in the series (there isn't one in Asylum, Origins one is barely there and the Knight one is kind of meh), but it has by far the best hidden and most sparsed out trophies in the series.
Knight is very good about keeping track with exactly where they are and the informant system from City makes it very easy to scrounge up those last ones.
I also liked Knight the best. The gameplay and graphics are just astounding compared to the others. Story is a little whatever but it has by far the best setting in the series.
For ME it's the 1990 Turtles where you could switch on the fly and beat up thugs in a grimy decayed early 90's NYC
Am I the only one who thinks they could shit out a AAA Tenchu game using this formula and engine? Like literally Arkham City with new coat of feudal paint.
>Instead of bats/cats its Rikimaru and Ayame
>Rikimaru with the grappling hook
>Ayame with ninja claws
>get some sweet bamham swordfighting ninja action
>get some sweet rafter-hopping ninja stealth action
>grafics
DID I MENTION THE GRAFICS
I recently finished the Trilogy on hard recently and yes to both. Goons are pretty easy on normal. Mr Freeze on hard is one of the best boss fights played in a video game.
i just got done playing all the games on hard, it didn't make much of a difference in arkham knight because he's too overpowered in the game, but it was a bit better in asylum and city
Eh, you 100% in less than 25 hrs pic related, haven't played knight, gonna play city now, those 64 achievements are going to take a while
You say that like it's an unpopular opinion
Still wrong
Knight > Origins > City > Asylum
How do you get higher scores in the combat challenges?
Just finished replaying it last night. It wasn't as good as I remember it, still good tho. Waaaaayyyyyyy shorter than I remember too, but that could be a good thing.
Jumped right into City today and it just seems to flow so much better. The combat flows so much better however is way easier (not to say Asylum was hard just more punishing since I never got the 40x combo achievement) actually traversing the map is better and more fun.
So far I think I actually prefer City, Asylum wins in the atmosphere department though.
Nah. It has amazing level design and environments but the combat is too stiff and small in scale compared to City. The first time I fought Joker's entire gang in the steel mill I felt so cornered and overwhelmed, it was great.
Also City has more than one alt costume, making replays more fun and personal.
yeah, it's arguably more the more atmospheric and tighter whole, but City is superior in gameplay, world and overall amount of content.
Asylum really feels like a slug once you reach the point with Ivy's plants everywhere. i doubt almost anyone even enjoys the game from that point onwards.
I wish they had skins for the villains too. I wanted to play with everyonevin BTAS style.
I disagree, but the more I think about how I would order the games, the more I realize they're all quite brilliant and what a perfect package quadrology is in the end. some of my fav games no doubt.
It just hit me we will possibly not get another Bamham until like 2026 or something. That is if Rocksteady will make another one after Suicide Squad.
Arkham Origins had kino moments.
Not him, but it's more than possible if you just make use of the gadget variety bonus in every round (i.e start every round by throwing a couple batarangs) and try to do combat takedowns on as many enemies as possible.
Pretty much the only major reason why you should play Origins is that it's kino central.
>deathstroke fight
>copperhead fight
>fuck, every assassin sidequest fight
>fuck, every BOSS FIGHT in general
>jokers christmas theme
>actually get to fight corrupt cops
>crime scene reconstruction is a fun as hell and interesting mechanic
Knight > Asylum > Origins > City
Any other opinion is trash.
Asylum is let down by the last boss.
I really loved the section where you play as Joker for a bit. Really fantastic writing.
Origins for a normal playthrough is good.
Completing all the extra shit in Origins is a bug-riddled Hell
