It just occurred to me that Nintendo has been pushed out of the real console market and retreated to only making a hand held. You realize docking it is a meme, right? 4K144fps TVs are getting pretty cheap. Running something at even 1080 is going to look bad. Then there's the frame rate.

Mobile is becoming less and less distinguishable from home consoles. I doubt you'll notice any significant difference between Nintendo's next console's games and the ps5. Diminishing returns are real.

We're a long way away from a close to pocket sized device running on battery power pumping out the graphics you'll see on the PS5, SEX and the coming PC games.
The Switch does have the new DOOM. In a graphical mode that you can't even turn down to on PC.

Pretty much. Nintendo had a weak product line (consoles) and a strong one (handhelds), and they merged them. You're right in identifying the Switch's handheld aspect as the more important one. If it couldn't be a handheld and didn't get Pokémon, the sales would be much poorer. But it's unfair to say it's merely a handheld; the Switch is a genuine hybrid.

Playstation 4 is a multimedia computer with an absurdly designed UI, that happens to have a large library of games on it.
XBOX One is a failed attempt to get Microsoft cameras installed in every living room, and they only continued supporting the platform to deny that.
Nintendo Switch is a gaming platform that nintendo made to run all the rediculous new ideas they had for the next few years.
I'm not sure any of them would be called consoles.

nintendo hasn't been trying for a "real" console since the wii, they started chasing some sort of gimmick with all their home consoles since then and they actually have a pretty good track record with 2 out of 3.

Who said the same power? I said the differences will be hard to see. The main differences between ps5 and switch 2 will mainly be reflections and resolution. And when the lower resolution is 1440p, that higher resolution isn't likely to be very impressive.
So if Zig Forums is a PC community why does that make Nintendo best? Why are they 'good' because they force you to play their games on crappy underpowered hardware (Or wait years for an emulator) while Sony and Microsoft are smart enough to let you play their games on PC in much higher quality?
You could also be patient and wait another 3-4 years to play all those Switch games in 4k 120FPS on an emulator.
Yeah, that's also cool, I buy their consoles and also use emulators when they surpass them, there won't be a reliable Switch emulator like Dolphin in a long ass time though, Yuzu is not that good at all, also, you can't always expect to have an emulator for a lot of devices, if you just "wait for them to exist" you might as well be waiting forever, sometimes you get an emulator really fast or sometimes they take a lot of years to make when the console isn't even relevant anymore. If I had to decide to have only 1 device, I would choose to get a PC, but I can get more than one and PC+Nintendo will always be my preferred option. I would have a Sony if they had something worth it for me but they don't, and they are even less worth it option with all the ports that they are doing.

Like I said above, sometimes emulators take a lot of time to be made, you don't really know how much time you are going to need to wait. Some consoles like the GBA get an emulator as soon as they were released, other consoles like the original Xbox, PS2, Xbox 360, etc never get a decent emulator, some consoles like the 3DS or Wii U got one when they weren't really relevant anymore and I already played all of their games on the real deal. I prefer to play Nintendo games on their consoles, they aren't that expensive and they don't feel as pointless as having an Xbox or PS being basically a worse PC that the one that I have, at least for me.
So what does Nintendo do when literally any shitty Android tablet can run games like a PS4?

I have been trying to find an Android tablet for my grandma and there aren't making new ones since 2015-2016. Please, prove me wrong, show me a decent tablet on the 200-300 range or lower. It's like they aren't making new ones, all the ones that I find are like from 2016 with a bad CPU, 1gb of RAM and 8gb of storage
