This is the same fucking mistake SE made with FFXV. Release a rushed product that people dislike that finally gets decent a year after patches and DLC just so that fans can pretend that the game was always good and that square never fucked up in the first place

DLC is a terrible necessity now though with how drawn out development times are. Companies would die without the steady inflow of cash.

I've literally played 30fps games where the game didn't stutter like that in frames, can't help but feel this a biased showcase.

it's not stuttering, that's just how 30fps looks when juxtaposed. if you just play a 30fps game outright it looks fine though. higher framrerates are better or whatever but I've enjoyed plenty games on 30fps. the only time something needs to be 30 is if it's a fighting game, shooter, etc. action games like KH should be 60 too but people played them at 30 on PS2 so whatever

try some other game that runs at 60 natively and then cap the framerate to 30 with rivatuner or something, you'll notice the lack of smoothness right away

This. 30FPS games only stutter like that with bad Vsync. Outside of that, it's just looks less "smooth". Stuttering at a locked 30FPS isn't like in that webm unless you've done something horrendously wrong.

KH has arguably the best storytelling in vidya.
