And no one bought a Wii U, so it was basically a new Mariokart game for most people.

Remember it has abysmal EA, Activision, Rockstar and Blizzard support. It just proves Nintendo is the biggest gaming Icon in vidya. The only company with similar mindshare is Steam and they hardley make games anymore.

To be honest I wouldn't call the games bad but they've been pretty take or leave to me. Spla2n is great and I enjoyed FE3H well enough but nothing else really stuck out. Smash, maybe.
I unironically had more fun on my Wii U.
