Galaxy is inherently the most handsome Starfleet vessel. Thread can end there.
factually incorrect opinion
>we will never get a show with this ship
its not fair lads
debate me
Good. The saucer is overscaled and that chinstrap stardrive connector is stupid. Generally feels uninspired.
Star trek ships are fucking uggo don't @ me

I personally find the constitution class more aesthetically pleasing but galaxy is superfuckhuge and much better armed.
Defiant shits on both
how would you update starfleets ships then?
oh come on the defiant sucks sao paulo class is better and neither of them are even cream of the crop
This baby takes on every other ship you can think of at the same time and wins without a scratch.
>1 shots your entire fleet
roll outta the way
>Defiant shits on both
It's definitely aesthetic, I'll give you that. Most of the smaller ships with the 'stuck on the side' nacelles are, and I can't help but grin every time there's space shenanigans going on in DS9 and the Defiant rips through vomiting phaser fire everywhere like it's playing Galaga '88.
>Rapes your shields
>Beams nukes aboard
Idk if this game is dead or not but I always loved its ship designs
i like both
the detachable saucer section on the galaxy class is dumb though
The one that stopped working because it was just missing 2 screws. Forgot the name
Excelsior
Ehhh, no it has obvious nacelle problems. The Nebula, that's a pretty hardcore ship. But if we're talking the best of the long distance sprinter cruisers it would have to be the excelsior.

Microsoft should make one of their studios make Freelancer 2.
Your mother has nacelle problems.
it's still impressive that ship was relevant during even DS9's timeline. That's quite a service life
The galaxy is a cruiser design for deep territory loitering, not for interdiction like cruisers had since forever. The galaxy wasn't good enough for war duty and it's why the Nebula was commissioned to fight the cardi's. The galaxy's saucer is wide and thin as shit and it's Nacelles are very small, impulse isn't that great either.
The Galaxy, only boomers and contrarians would say the Constitution
For me, it's the Constellation class.
its a pretty solid looking ship gets across a blue collar feel working class mans star ship
What's even more impressive is that the Miranda was still active. Then again the Miranda was a huge leap in technology for the federation. It's why when you play starfleet command 2 there are so many alien technology variations of the miranda frame. The Miranda itself is strong enough to go toe to toe with a heavy cruiser refit and that is insane considering that it was a LIGHT cruiser. The miranda in many ways was an answer to the klingon problem as it was better and cheaper.
Did Bones ever give back the parts for the Trans-warp computer drive? or did scotty sabotage the great leap permanently
excelsior-class is the most a e s t h e t i c
The Crown Victoria of Starfleet?
How do you feel about it's offshoots like the Curry?
From what I understand they never got the transwarp right and the whole thing was just abandoned.
great parallel ya thats a good way to think of it
looks like someone wanted to turn it into a klingon ship
First modern deflector, they were so close to transwarp.
human ships in B5 made my dick rock fucking hard
